Ha, thanks! Turns out I was wrong, there was an update yesterday. There is a new phone message from Amanda's lawyer on the answering machine. Check the memo on the filing cabinet and the date was for yesterday. Wink

Also, HUGE update today: A letter from Mark to Phil and a blue date sticker next to the phone that notes that tomorrow (October 21st) is the anniversary of Cindy's kidnapping. Can't wait to see what comes tomorrow!

NOOOOOO! Mark can't give up! But he has a point, everything about the frozen triangle and just about everything that didn't come from Tollevue or Ludwidge's basement could be a forgery. Kind of unlikely though.

I hope it's huge. It's strange that when the room was cleaned up, not everything was picked up. One of the letters on the floor is also in the folder. I doubt it means anything, it's just strange. The updates from yesterday (which I think were all from today, I checked before I went to bed at about 2 am, and nothing had changed, I could swear it!) aren't helpful as to puzzle solving.

I feel as though the letter in the type writer might be a forgery. Mark's signature on one of his early letters to Lynch is pretty drastically different. I haven't checked it against any other of his signatures though, so maybe not. Maybe Lynch got Mark and is trying to make him look suicidal with all the depressing new update material.

Aww, poor Mark, this is really getting him down...

But wow, I didn't realize that some of LUTWIDGE'S letters might be forgeries too... that puts a new spin on things.

I'm not sure how much of it could be, though. [TIAG]Even if Mark is no longer sure Rapture exists at all, WE know it's real since a lot of us played BioShock[/TIAG]. Plus, the tapes Mark stole from the mental hospital confirm what Lutwidge's voice sounds like, so we know that it's really his voice in the puzzle boxes, and on the tapes Mark found in the warehouse. The diary can't be a fake, either, since it was hidden in the Rubix Tube, which Lutwidge himself placed into Mark's hands. And Mark took that picture of the Big Sister.

Which reminds me, I've been meaning to go through the archives again, see if I can find out where and when Mark actually got some of this stuff... the puzzle boxes, the Rapture record...

I don't know if there's any merit to that, but I had some time on my hands, so I went through most of the archived stuff and using screenshots compared them to the current letter in the typewriter. I'm far from a handwriting analyst, but if you ask me, it's similar to his other signatures. Handwriting can change with situations. If he's feeling stressed or upset, it's likely to be a more jerky, sharp signature than his typical. It's certainly close enough to be his. I remember reading somewhere that typically, a forged signature is spotted because it's too CLOSE to the original, not too different.

this might mean nothing but there's some noticeable typo's in the last lines of the letter. switches letters and missing vowels. maybe it's just him being stressed? not sure.

Trust me, every time I try to write while I'm stressed, I thank my lucky stars that I'm not at a typewriter. Drool

Also some new typed notes. A few random typos throughout, but then Mark is pulled out of a dead sleep and then the following in his jumbled notes at the end.

"AUDITORy Hallusinatoins nw
just great
nobody tell dr Lyman"

There's got to be something there, I feel it in my gut.

Oct. 22 Update
Chills...

K... Don't know if anyone else has bothered to translate the picture that Mark took this morning of the sand castles on the beach, but it says, "Whaswrongdaddycomefindme." Practical joke? If so, how does the person know the code. Maybe the Big Sister is screwing with Mark; trying to throw him off her trail... He does seem to be losing it...
