AHHHH

OH NO

OH GOD NO

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Check Kelvin's weblog.

This user's video has been set to private. You are in a suspension zone.

Hrm. The kidnappers, they have bollixed things up. They probably made some demands. I tried searching for the title of the video etc to see if maybe I could send them a message indicating that I can't actually see their video. No such luck.

Update: It is rolling!

Update update: CRAZY IVAN!

Duckstabd, Jason: Thanks for video-ing!

Why is it assumed that he's been released? Couldn't the video have been posted by EPWA after getting Kelvin to divulge his blog account information?

Memorial Show
parts 1 and 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGsTJ08Njbg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsgjPP6CUMg

You will see lots of sky because I got sick of holding the camera. But close your eyes, listen, and YOU ARE THERE.

Also: Whoa kidnapping, indeed. Excerpts from a text conversation with XAdamDX from last night:

XAdamDX: So what do you make of that video?
Jason 7au: One: the EPWA was always nuts, big shocker. Or two: they only kidnaped him to stop him from going to the Jejune Institute. Or three: Kelvin's in on the whole thing, either only recently, or all along.

(adding to that now: or four, Kelvin Patty Williams-Hearst starts sympathizing with his abductors and joins them. It's happened around here before.)

XAdamDX: All I know is I want taco bell now. Hmm, subliminal messages?!
Jason 7au: Think for yourself! The horse said so!

Oh gods. "Charlie Horse." I just got that. Seriously? I guess they had to. It's like a law of children's television that any low-hanging pun must be plucked.

XAdamDX: I get the feeling we're about to have the script flipped on us.
Jason 7au: Or we end up in Rumi's Field where there is no us nor them.

Or: ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Tungsten pointed out to me that Kelvin is trying really hard not to smile at about the 6 minute mark. Is that breaking character, or is that in-character? Or does it matter? Stick THAT in your Oprah's Book Club!

On subsequent views, I think he's laughing in response to Commander 14's "Frank Chu" moment just before there.

A note about the SoEx talk being given on Saturday the 24th

Hey guys, I just got an email from the producers confirming that this Saturday's talk at SoEx is not an in-game or in-narrative or whatever you want to call it event. It's a talk about art and practice, and won't contain clues or plot-advancing bits or whatever.

I'm still going because I love that shit, but I'll be there as plain old Jason S., not potentially-crazy, definitely off-kilter EPWA-supporter Jason 7au. If the creation of these types of experiences interests you, or if art that provokes experience interests you, or if post-modern, non-linear storytelling interests you, then let's go and hang out!

My favorite Yelp review of the Jejune Institute

http://www.yelp.com/biz/jejune-institute-san-francisco#hrid:G3pN0tH28K_SYGQsvOSe6g

From Thyrone of San Ramon: "Everyone here is a bunch of weirdos that has been brained washed by the handsome old man name Octavio Coleman, Esq. I thought I was in for a swingers party."

Hahahahahahaha!

But please, no swingers party, that would get awkward.

alternative

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Since the EWPA has betrayed our confidence and the Jejune Institute is clearly working on nefarious designs, I think we should all join an alternatative, just around the corner from 580:

www.theseminarsf.org
735 Montgomery at Jackson.

The introduction course is tomorrow at 7:15pm. It is of course, free. The first taste is always free.

They even have a clothing exchange once a year. Golly.

The results page is a gut buster.

jeebus, a REAL cult!

Here's a decent breakdown of these turkeys:

Talk.

A thing I ran into randomly: "Laura Moriarty and Standard Schaefer will read from a collaborative work-in-progress, The Jejune Project, a poetic and narrative investigation of the Jejune Institute, at Books and Bookshelves, Tuesday, Nov 3rd at 7:30. Books and Bookshelves is at 99 Sanchez in the Castro in San Francisco."
