In her Blog DANA says:
.....
The Sleeping Princess uses Aunt Margaret's email account and error pages to share secrets and play games with us. She also likes to hide text in images. We're not sure where she came from.
.....
It's possible that if we give commands to the princess from the emal
'ladybee777@hotmail.com' subject 'A message for the Sleeping Princess'
we can have new information on the game we are playing
in the http://www.ilovebees.com/yellowbrickroad.html page
we can have all the example to input!

Since we know the Flea refers to himself as "Seeker", I think we'd alter the line "seeker > !attach Princess" to be us. We don't want to attach the Flea to the Princess. Also, as "we" are communicating, we don't need to reveal ourselves--that command seems reflexive, it would reveal us TO ourselves. Also, we're not a proc--we'd just be delivering a message, not a program. But I'm not sure what else we'd use.
!reveal Princess

Though, actually, we already can communicate with the Princess over e-mail, so let's try this with the Flea.

Why not try to get the Flea to reveal the truth to us?

!reveal i think you are misinterpreting the !reveal command...it's not reflexive, it's transitive. That is, !reveal is saying (I will) show the princess.... To tell melissa that we are the crew, we'd say something like..
behold
master.sector
!label operator
reveal:
!label crew
!reveal operator:
<your message here>

There doesn't seem to be enough consistency in the syntax for this to be any sort of useful language to communicate in.

I coulda sworn that somebody, somewhere, posted a list of all the commands in Arachnid (which I hereby dub the programming language used by the Spider and Flea), and what they appear to do.
I thought it was on the Wiki, but I just searched the site map, and I couldn't find it.
Phooey.

Way back in Phase 1, the wiki did have a breakdown of the Spiders commands and how they matched up with the Princess/Widow/Queen story. The one with the command breakdown is here , unfortunately all the formatting is screwed up since the wiki was migrated.
So, here's my reproduction of the list:
Quote:
operator/command summary
A >> B appends data from stream A to the end of stream B
A > B routes data from sream A to stream B
A | B sends the result from program A to program B
! the command prompt
A: declares the currently active utility as A
mat X determines the material of the memory storage at X (defaults to current memory location)
bkp X execute command X from backed-up data
init X initialize process space or process X
sec X designates the code/data at X to be secure
proc X identifies X as a process, a chunk of executable code
restore X restore code/data X
deploy extract embedded tools
attach attaches to an incoming datastream
act use the current connection to process the next action
drop drop the current connection
extern X external process X, code that is running outside of the primary sector
probe X examine the data and structure of X
triage X try to repair process X.
diag X diagnose status of the memory space X
dsc X discard the object X
A recurse continue processing command A until the datastream ends
cmd proc X describes X as a 'command' process
store describes storage process
invntry X displays the inventory of the memory space or process space X
analyze X performs an indepth analysis of material X
X extend Y extend process X into medium Y
kindle X initiate autonomous program X

catherwood made this post with an attached doc. outlining many of the commands (good explanations in the posts before mine, too!):

People make programs in Brainfuck, don't they?

Nice - [SPEC] wouldn't it be cool if eventually we somehow were given an interface to give commands to Melissa...? Maybe eventually we'll have to ask the SP to sacrifice herself to the Flea in order to give us access through her to Melissa and give her commands.

[SPEC] Even if it's out-of-bounds to attempt to code/program the site ourselves, isn't it enough that we have a grasp on the way the Flea works? Might it only be the first piece of this particular puzzle? It appears that the Flea is not especially complex: it tries the same basic commands whenever it encounters a program it has to deal with (as in trying to handshake the SP when runs into her [yellow brick road text]). Maybe it's enough right now to have a grasp on what it does, so that when the time comes we can formulate a response. It's obviously not finished what it's doing yet, and there may come a time when we have to react to / prevent it's next move. It's entirely possible that the Flea is "bad" (the SP certainly thinks so) and it may be up to us to do something about it.

Keep in mind that the people making this game are human; if we exceed their expectations of us, it can lead to some interesting consequences, possibly even changing the story of the game itself.
I don't mean to guilt-trip anybody into writing a program in SPDR (I'll give it a shot, myself), I'm just saying, what we're supposed to do isn't always the most fun.

I sent a letter to the Sleeping Princess containing the breakdown of the SPDR commands, and I asked her if there's any particular program she would like written.
Maybe she'll respond...

I think whatever commands we may be able to issue will be in the form of a URL, as posted above with some of the example links to the memory archives. (The first linked honeybees, at least.)
Ah what the hell, I'll trout myself, it's late.
