I think the blocks are just there to show us it was the correct sentance or maybe just to show us we had to put the sentance here in the first time.

PS: About the stegano I was talking about all the weblife's pictures.

Would it be long to check them all Ripley ?

 I always feel like ~somebody's watchin' meeeee~

I think this is an ego/id war, but I don't know how deep I want to dig.

WHERE ID WAS, THERE EGO SHALL BE.
That's a quote from Sigmund Freud.

! : #4 - id
* : we are driven by instinct
@ : we have fixed action patterns
$ : every single one
# : everyone but Him
( : He has denied his instinct
^ : acting in defense
% : when you are not whole
& : you are always in a trance
) : there is no balance

Id, ego, and super-ego are the three parts of the psychic apparatus defined in Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche; they are the three theoretical constructs in terms of whose activity and interaction mental life is described. According to this model, the uncoordinated instinctual trends are the "id"; the organised realistic part of the psyche is the "ego," and the critical and moralising function the "super-ego."

The Id is unconscious by definition. In Freud's formulation,

" It is the dark, inaccessible part of our personality, what little we know of it we have learnt from our study of the dream-work and of the construction of neurotic symptoms, and most of this is of a negative character and can be described only as a contrast to the ego. We all approach the id with analogies: we call it a chaos, a cauldron full of seething excitations... It is filled with energy reaching it from the instincts, but it has no organisation, produces no collective will, but only a striving to bring about the satisfaction of the instinctual needs subject to the observance of the pleasure principle.
[Freud, New Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis (1933)]

The Ego according to Freud,

" ...The ego is that part of the id which has been modified by the direct influence of the external world ... The ego represents what may be called reason and common sense, in contrast to the id, which contains the passions ... in its relation to the id it is like a man on horseback, who has to hold in check the superior strength of the horse; with this difference, that the rider tries to do so with his own strength, while the ego uses borrowed forces [Freud, The Ego and the Id (1923)]

Fixed Action Patterns:
In ethology, a fixed action pattern (FAP) is an instinctive behavioral sequence that is indivisible and runs to completion. Fixed action patterns are invariant and are produced by a neural network known as the innate releasing mechanism in response to an external sensory stimulus known as a sign stimulus or releaser (a signal from one individual to another). i.e. Yawning.

100109:
Today I began my journey around the world. I feel it is time to seperate myself from everything here. I need to leave behind my work, my friends, my home, and even a little bit of myself, because I hate what I have become since I moved.

I am taking everything out of my accounts, and leaving most of my valuables with a relative. I will travel by whatever means are available. My first destination? Huntsville, Alabama for a family reunion. To get things started, I'll be taking a cab out of the city...

Title: You have to leave some things behind.

Caption: Farewell, friend.

Let me know if I should spoiler this for some reason, or if I should stop my hypothesizing but it's kind of consumed my thoughts and I keep reading about id/ego and Freud. It may even be a battle between the id and the super-ego since the ego serves as a buffer zone.

New aweblife Post

10/21/09 Honolulu, HI

I couldn't have been more right about things getting worse. I have been incapacitated since I arrived. The doctor said it was most likely food poisoning from the airline food. The past 48 hours have not been enjoyable for me.

Worst of all, my flight leaves tomorrow. Which means I have a solid 6 hours of Hawaii left to enjoy, unless I pull an all-nighter, which doesn't sound like a bad idea.

New aweblife Post

Well folks...looks like my journey around the world is put on hold. Medical bills were much more than I had expected, and I have no insurance coverage. Unfortunately this means I can no longer afford to make it to my next stop. I'll be looking for work here on the island until I'm able to pay my debts...

Hey guys, PM of IBF here.

I just wanted to let you all know that IBF is done for the time being. I started it as a fun project to keep me entertained while I stay at home unemployed. After the first few days IBF really took off, over 6000 page views daily in the first few days. Now, IBF is down to 400 page views daily.

I have had to spend almost all day creating each puzzle, which I make the day you see it. Each puzzle would take about 8 hours to design, create, and publish. I created www.aweblife.com to attempt to make some money on the side so I could keep producing IBF, but it never panned out, especially with readers being as few as they are now.

Since I need to put food on the table, I have to dedicate my time to other projects now.

IBF will most likely be back in the future, once I find steady work and have time to create content for you guys ahead of time. So check back later.

Thank you all so much for playing, I hope you enjoyed interacting as much I enjoyed creating it. May all of your ARG's be good ones.

If you doubt I am the PM, I will put this posts number on front page of IBF.

well.. thanks for the heads up and gl for the future...

I got a great kick out of it, and got in with some really amazing people on the #IBF channel, you were all awe inspiring and hugely enthusiastic...

I thought everything was well planned out and very challenging, and if you were doing these on a day to day basis and solo, then even more of a well done... \o/ I felt that with the two sites, things were really going to open up for some really great interactive fiction, but hey, things happen... I've seen things just drop off the face of the earth, so wd for letting your public know the score...

I hope our paths cross again in the future..

Tex...

Have lurked on Unf for a while but IBF was the reason I finally signed up! Shame this one is over for now, was really enjoying it. And as Tex Ripley said, there were some cool people playing along in the #IBF channel, on the forums, etc...

But thanks PM for letting us know and best of luck with your search for work. Hope you are true to your word and resurrect this as and when possible! Until then, cheers mate and good luck Smile

Damn, just when my time was freeing up again. Though I definitely understand your motivations PM. I have been occupied currently with attempting to find work again myself (gotta love when your factory is shut down and everything is sent overseas -_-). Good luck to you and I await your return eagerly!

It is confirmed that this had nothing to do with You will never catch me. Ywncm is dead, sadly, it was a good game while it lasted.
