First off, here's bit's and pieces of the White Knight's Song:

The White Knight's Song

"Who are you, aged man?" I said.
"And how is it you live?"
And his answer trickled through my head,
Like water through a sieve.
He said, "I look for butterflies
That sleep among the wheat:
I make them into mutton-pies,
And sell them in the street.
I sell them unto men,"
he said,
"Who sail on stormy seas;
And that's the way I get my bread--
A trifle, if you please."

I tried putting that whole answer into the 5x5 box, but it didn't work... of course, I might have slipped up once and hit the wrong button without realizing it. Bang Head

But yeah, I'm thinking we may just have to wait for another update before we'll get the answer...

You have to keep in mind that's what the old man he is talking to is saying, not what the white knight is saying. The white knight wants to know why the man lives, as in what is his purpose in life or at that moment in time.

Right, but Lutwidge is saying you need the answer to the White Knights Question, so we would want to pay attention to what the old man is saying. If the answer to the 5x5 puzzle is in the answer to the White Knight's question, it'll be in the old man's words... But we don't know just yet...

I have a feeling it's going to be something more general then something specific that the old man says. O_o

Lol. Who knows? This is Something in the Sea we're talking about. Anything, quite literally, is possible...

Lynch is on the move. Carmady wants Mark to give him information if Lynch shows up. And now there's a message by Lynch on the answering machine, so it looks like he is the "Red Pawn".

And it looks like Lynch knows they're onto him. It's a shame they couldn't keep him in the dark about that for longer, it could have been very useful against him... and he might have dropped another hint.

Mark needs to hunt his a$$ down. This whole thing with Lynch isn't over. I can feel it. No way a con man that commited just takes off. No way. I have a feeling this thing's about to go South. Real fast.

You think its possible that Lynch might have worked with Fontaine? Fontaine was good, but con men don't run long cons solo. Plus he probably needed someone to supply his smugglers of Bibles and other topside items. Probably Lynch never went to Rapture but he was his man on the topside. Ooh! Maybe Lynch was the one who put Jack on the plane.

Dude, go a couple of pages back in the forum. Sylocat and I did a whole bunch of research, which included our Lynch/Fontaine theory.

Oh, I know, I didn't think Lynch was out of the picture at all, I was just hoping that Mark could string him along a bit more, now that he knows.

But yes, we're heading for a showdown with Lynch.

We need to do some more research. Find out who Lynch's contacts are, where he's going, what he's got. Things are about to get a lot more interesting.

Yes he did. I had already figured that, but it's nice to get a little confirmation; it means we're still on the right track.

I had hoped for another clue in the phone message, but something tells me Lynch is going to be playing a bit harder to get now...

All right, time for another brainstorming session... Carmady says that Lynch has vacated his last known address and is on the move... time to figure out where he's going. I'll be on Yahoo tomorrow afternoon, anyone else want to join us for the live chat?

the way Jeremiah Lynch says "Hello Mark this is your friend Jeremiah Lynch" i tink is his way of assuring Mark he is a decent guy (even though he is not). he must know must is diggin up dirt on him and he also must know mark is kind of "crazy" so by saying "i am your friend" i think it his way of making mark think he can trust him. so if he turns against other people or he feels like no one can be trused jeremiah will always be there to talk to
