Hi everyone ,
sorry for hopping in like that, but maybe I got something on the lines and dots in the tennisball-message:
They seem to resemble 01140111011805201518 which is from the twitteraccount of Mr. Vigenere.
So could it be that this simply yields Anakaretor again ?

yes, where A=1 and Z=26, just break it into pairs:
Code:
01140111011805201518
01 14 01 11 01 18 05 20 15 18

just coming from 4chan. i found something else about the orignal codes.
if you add the tiny numbers at the bottom of anakaretor.com to the SECOND line (the one that we were translating as NOTYETTRYHARDER), you get (
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
NOWYOUAREWORTHY
).
and now a new tweet: LKRZWLAUTKOTLSNJP
im making no progress on it with vigenere.

Thanks bigglestada!
Since this worked and actually worked well, we can assume that some puzzles currently, as well as in the future, will have the same trick. Likewise, converting the new twitter letters into numbers and adding them to something might work as well. I'll see what I can do when I get out of work in a few hours.
Right now, we're stuck on my there would be spelling errors with the tennis ball note, as well as the zoomed in message from twitter. Maybe we need to add stuff to those *shrug*

So the countdown had ended for me, and its doing the exact same thing that happened with changing the computer date/time settings.
No new tweets.
No nothing.
Anyone have ANY idea?

Haven't seen this mentioned... but feel free to trout me. If you look at the background image on the twitter account there are a batch of numbers on the right hand side. Is this new? Here they are with 'translation.'
Code:
011405 ANE
181508 ROH
05202206 ETVF
25250209 YYBI
15051218 OELR
21200603 UTFC
23200303 WTCC
15181724 ORQX
18252222 RYVV
20081502 THOB
080124 HAX
251805 YRE
If you read down you get the start of the home page numbers, but it deviates at the third column. That would give us
EHVBLFCQVOXE FIRCCXVB
Does that look familiar to anyone?
Also, if you look at the bottom of the image below these numbers there is a shading that might indicate an additional number pair 'off screen.' maybe 04=D, but I wouldn't put money on it.

Good morning,
@pancito:i think the numbers on that twitterpage are a variation of these on the anakaretor-page, when it first came up.
At least this portion decyphered with "Vigenere" as a key yielded "Kalyptex"
This added to the URL led to the countdown that ran out last night.
As to the portrait-foto on twitter:
If you zoom in and brighten it up, in the lower right corner the "pointsīnīdots"-sequence can be found again - seems that Mr. Vigenere is signing his photographs in that way.
Maybe we havenīt considered this yet:
From Carpathianrose:

Got this in an email:
Quote:
143981749128734019823474400489023193
It could be a missing number that we are supposed to use (i.e. add or substract) with the others in order to receive something useful.

The http://www.anakaretor.com/kalyptex.html page source seems to indicate that there will be a number of pictures in a slide show at some point...

Ummmm Ok, so I saved the image of numbers now on the countdown website and tried the photoshop opening up thing, then brightened it. Dunno if it's very relative, but the 31 in the bottom line is almost...distorted after being brightened. There's something that almost looks like a brain behind the two numbers, but it's too distorted to tell.
Maybe it's pointing out those two specifically?

Update Ok, so by opening up the page source of the original countdown page, I found a link.
http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd
Also found plenty of evidence that it is in fact a slideshow, which may/or may not continue.
So anyways, I checked the link, which resulted in a .dtd file i opened on notepad. Dead End. The file appears to be resource code and instructions for .html creation. MORE IMPORTANTLY, the file is downloaded from a privilege which I do not have access to "from my account". I tried backtracking the url, but it doesn't display much else.
Also, if someone feels like scrutinizing the .dtd file, go ahead and see if anything's in there.
By looking at the page source, the files used in the countdown site are from a labeled folder; Kalyptex_files. I think this document maybe locatable from the same source as the code resources.
But this is on a hunch, so if someone can find a way for privileges into the website, we can see....

The link to the file at www.w3.org is just a part of the XML standards defintion.
The image is saved in a directory called "Kalyptex_files" but there is currently only one picture in there. Perhaps there will be more later.
I'm not sure if this is going anywhere at this point though.
There is also a www.kalyptex.com. It seems to be hosted by the same server as anakaretor.com, but there is nothing there just yet, just a locked file called .ftpquota.
