Does anyone know a good reference of what is going on?

I would recommend starting at the Wiki:

Glad to have you on board. Right now we're just waiting for another update in hopes that we'll find out what to look for.

This new religion, the Rapture Family or whatever seems pretty neat, along with whole revolution and revival thing. They said that the splicers talk about Jack and speculate about his future when you're not attacking them, so that should be pretty interesting to listen to.

new stuff

There is some new things in Mark's world. Seems there is a picture with the symbols on it. It kind of looks like a chess board. Any thoughts? I keep thinking there must be a pattern. Maybe it needs to be translated.

Since it is only a clip of the board...

Update:

On the drawer by the door, under the shadow of the hat, is a new letter from Inman. He's is to be disciplined by the U.S. Navy and the ONI division has info regarding Lutwidge and Meltzer. Looks like Meltzer may be getting new visitors.

On a whim, I started making knight-moves across that chessboard, and starting at the upper left-hand corner, I was able to spell WHERE...

I have a feeling we're going to be waiting for another photo before we can solve the whole thing, though...

The letters and chess board are definitely the final solution to the 5x5 grid. A note on Marks desk says that that is a sample image and there are several more to come (Ludwige carved these into the tiles of his lab)

I might be dumb here but what does the 7 fold lock refer to, so far the cube only has displayed 4 folds to it (slider, microphone, the phronima thing, and the 5x5) even after that when the gyro comes online that's only 5 folds.

To get the solution i think some super-imposing of the images on ludwiges floor will be in order. After that try and make every conceivable knight move on the board and look for legitimate words, string the words together and you get the answer. (or if 2k really wants to drive us nuts the actual "white knights question" which will need a totally separate answer)

I think the seven fold lock includes the parts of the Jewelry Box and Rubix Tube.

Ah See, though if it were referencing the box it has been shown to have that 7th wall inside that rotates and spins with the gears in it. Other than that stupid question i cant wait for the rest of the photos!

Edit:

So ive been staring at that picture of ludwiges floor, and the picture of the 5x5 grid with the ABC translation on it and noted a discrepancy. In the image, the fifth row of symbols down (the ones partially cut off by the edge of the film at the bottom) fourth one over. That part of a symbol appears to NOT be on the current 5x5 grid. After looking at the two side by side i also realized that it dosent seem to even be part of a symbol we have currently seen in the 5x5. Weird eh?

knight's journey

Perhaps it is a chess board, and the proper sequence isn't really how it is shown, laid out, but how a knight would traverse the board
