There could be loads of hidden messages out there, things you wouldnt imagine of even guessing,

also, the recipe image is different, it has a picture of a face and hidden text which you cant read properly if you mess around with the colour....

Gah, brilliant work A Champ! Such a simple solution you'd think everyone would have got it right away... nice thinking outside the box there. I'm going to start searching for other pages now. I'm sure his other errors are probably intentional and may be clues.

I sent him an email last night. He Twittered today but I got no reply to my email, so he could be avoiding it or just hasn't got around to answering yet... We'll see.

I found the face A Champ was mentioning. I think it says HELP. I'll keep working on a clearer version.

It says a whole lot. I am still playing with it but I for certain see part that says something like "the eyes were what gave the whole thing away it was like they weren't even part of the face". You need to rotate the image on its side.

eta: I also see "there was something about the neck" and "I might/don't remember being/seeing a mouth(?)" and maybe something like "the eyes/head just stared". It is obviously a drawing of a person who something has happened to and notes about those changes?

eta2: there also looks to be something (an image or a stain) on the bottom right corner if you are looking at the original orientation. (man I am really bored at work today it seems

This is my reading of the image:

Also, probably irrelevant but interesting note: recipe.jpg is *not* just a crop of recipetrue.jpg with the overlaid words. If you try to subtract the images from each other you'll see they don't quite line up. Either Hatshoe scanned the paper two separate times, or somehow in messing with the image he ended up moving things around, or ... ?

I should mention that I have been receiving messages from Hatshoe. I haven't disclosed them here because I promised him/her I wouldn't (in the hopes that would make him/her open up more). It's possible that I'm the one he has mentioned as "not finding the bright". I could never figure out what any of his messages meant, really, which is why I didn't post. But the character of his messages was positive.
