Another note, about the timing of the emails I received: the entry "Hatshoe" was posted right after I received the email about how I had "pierced the membrane". So my natural inclination was to view that email as somewhat of a response to mine. Also, my message, "I am lost", seemed like it lined up with his suggestion that my question was "what is a hatshoe?" It seemed to me that he was sending the message that the format of the email, never mind the contents, was important to him. But subsequent interactions have dulled that impression, and now I'm not so sure. But that's one reason I've been sending them on scanned paper, just in case.

I received the impression that entry was somewhat unplanned, e.g. that he made it up on the spot. That is significant, if true, because it means that the sequence of titles, etc. can't be that important. After the hint that every document was a part of the whole, I was looking for things like the first letter in every document title, or the first letter of every document - but now that seems less likely. But who knows.

New Twitter update!

"Unexpected, but handled. I just need some time to get back up to speed. Normal will be back soon, Carl."

... any thoughts? Sounds like he took SOME course of action. I think he probably did something to the other neighbor, since that was an irregularity it seems, and now normal will be back soon.

So, perhaps the neighbor did something, Hatshoe combated that, and it took time out of his Carl watching schedule? and now... he'll be getting back into the normal pattern?

Sounds about right. Either that or 'Normal' is the name of the person Carl is having an affair with.

In my opinion, I'd say that Normal (who is coming back, like they belong where they're coming to) is more likely the woman he's been cheating on.

Man, we folks at Bethsoft really jumped the gun with this one. We basically fabricated in our minds that this was most definitely TESV. Seriously, lots of people were CONVINCED that this was the first signs of TESV coming soon. Too bad really...... Woulda been really clever for BethSoft to do something like this. I'd like to also point out how strange it is that all of the Mods and Admins deleted all traces of Hatshoe and all related content. I mean.... thats sketchy right? Or am I just crazy...

Right? I talked to a few people, who knew people who had been members on the BGS Forums for quite some time, and they all said that it was most definitely suspicious that they were deleting everything. You know.... kinda like if there was a LEAK!!

Well keep checking back guys, you never know what can happen with these games. So far there's been no indication of a solid TESV link but things could change at a later date.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the picture on Twitter. Who do you suppose is Carl in that picture? If it is the guy in the black tshirt can you read what it says? I can't and is that a mime sitting on the fountain? I think is an odd picture considering the subject.

I also thought the picture was odd, but it's so low-resolution that it's impossible to get much out of it. It's not even big enough to do steg on it. Which I was going to mention - has anybody tried stegonagraphy tools on any of hatshoe's images? I don't think I have time to do it today but somebody should Smile

I don't see a mime, but I did notice this: if you view the image's properties, the name of the file is carlrivers_bigger.jpg

So who is Carl Rivers?

He says, "Normal will be back soon, Carl." In this context, "normal" could also mean a state of being, as in "Everything will return to normal soon, Carl."

I agree that it could be a person or state but it's a bit ambiguous, considering who we're dealing with. But the previous post does use the words 'in the clear' which would tie in with a state of normality.

I haven't tried destegging anything but I'll see what I can find, don't know what pass I would use though.

There is a single Carl Rivers on Twitter with three tweets in May, October and one from 2 days ago. It mentions fring, so if anyone has it add him and see what you get.
