Oops... there was an update today. A new tape from Lutwidge, in June of 1958. This one is a bit long, and has even more riddles than usual.

Also a note from the Captain. Mark appears to owe him some money... Something about a Southeasterly Route...

UDDG could also be U336, a German U-Boat. After coming across this, LC did some research, and found out there's a connection between it, and the Frozen Triangle.

K. The German U Boat U336 was captained by a man named, get this, Hans Hunger. LC and I were thinkin, what if by supped, he meant stepped, and by boot, he meant boat. Hungry Hans last stepped inside a boat which can never go up. He sunk one boat, the President Francqui, captained by Master G. Bayot. Any thoughts?

or what if supped means sank, and a boat that can never go up is actually the boat he sunk?

btw, could this be the red queen?

Let's see if we can put "Bayot" in the light tubes.

Did anyone notice the line titled "fate" on that site: Sunk by U-336 (Hans Hunger)... Hungry Hans?

I think we might have found the answer before the coding on the puzzle is ready to accept it.

i'm still not clear how Aluminus found that character string to decode with the matrix.

you're right except 'supped' means to eat, like supper. and boot is the german word for boat, or uboat, which would be a submarine.

so it would mean: Hans Hungry last ate inside a submarine which can never go up

so i guess we just wait until the puzzle is updated.

yeah this is kinda confusing. so it seems the white king commissioned Lutwidge to make a 'metal palace' (the cube?) to lock out the Red Queen. But what does he mean by "but he did not mean to lock me out" ?

could it be "he didn't mean to lock me out, he did it accidentally" or "he did not have it designed to keep me out". I don't know if when he says "no, no, no" he's in denial that the white king locked him out on purpose, or if the white king didn't lock him out because it was made with litwidge in mind to be solvable by him?

i don't know what he means by the white kings mens charts that are littered by the fallen. "all the kings horses and all the kings men" perhaps? humpty dumpty? just throwin' that out there.

the last part talks about wreckage pointing the way which, from what we've found so far with the U-336, means sunken ships will be markers on the way to rapture.

also the title of this tape is 'le Maison Dieu" which means something like "God's Home"

could the Red Queen be Sophia Lamb maybe? I thought the Metal Place meant Rapture actually, guess I was wrong. Terra Incognito means Unexplored Land by the way for those who didn't know,so I guess it's a Rapture reference.

As for the Le Maison Dieu I searched it up and all I found was a reference to a french commune...maybe the Red Queen is Celeste?

Also, maybe the fallen reference is maybe those who died trying to chart Rapture? just my thought

I doubt the Baldur info works, but the Wohlfarth name may work, specifically because of the Knight's Cross reference and the Knight's journey. X marks the spot?
Wohlfarth sounds good. We have 20 symbols to enter and there are 2 symbols to each character which gives us a maximum of 10 characters in the solution.

I'm not sure that I want to go chasing this one unless I know for sure that it's legit... I'd like to view the script that you got this from and the program that you passed it through. No offense, but I'd like to see for my self since this isn't something we should normally be able to view.

1. Go to http://somethinginthesea.com/ship/xml/ship.xml
2. Read the things there, if you want
3. Go to the ship and click on the metal box puzzle
4. Open up your browser's cache (type about:chache in Chrome or Firefox)
5. Search for anything ending in swf
6. Look for "box_tubes_1.swf"
7. Decompress file using http://freewareapp.com/swifty-compress-amp;-swifty-decompress_download/
8. Open up the decompressed swf in your favourite hex editor.
9. Scroll down about two thirds of the way through the file.
10. Look for ASCII strings.
12. You should see this:
