The better question is that of those of us whose picture is on the ambassadors page on the IHC website who got the ereader and who didnt. I will have to check the office of my apt complex to see if they left the reader there. The tube was left by my door.

I wonder if that might be the distinction between who gets the reader and who doesn't - I signed up as an ambassador pretty late in the game, so perhaps they're rewarding those who were with them from the beginning.

That could be it- anyone else been playing since last year or from SDCC?

Was the reader in a separate package from the documents?

Yep, had one of the first lottery tickets to sign up for. it was a year ago today too. That would suck if the comic con ambassadors got a reader and those who solved all the puzzles didn't. I won't complain really if I don't get a reader, but it would be a nice consolation prize since I was not able to attend any of the drop offs, they forgot to do the book tour in 5 of the 15 cities.

Well, I wasn't a ComiCon ambassador and I received the swag as well. What a welcome surprise. The poster is a little too big to scan. The reader was a cool bonus. Since I didn't make it into the finals, I thought that the first poster was a great way to say 'Thank you for playing'. Now, I simply bow to Sony. I love that company.

I was a ComicCon Ambassador AND received a phone from the one of the drops... maybe that's why I didn't get a Reader?

Anyway, here are my pics of the package and the map received today (actually this is my set of *all* IHC stuff, recent stuff is the last 14 pics of the set):

Hmm guess I should add the pics of my phone and documents from the drop as well, for posterity's sake Smile

I was at Comic-Con. I participated heavily in what they had going on there. Wearing their shirt and carrying their massive bag, I became a walking advertisement.

I also:

printed my lottery ticket the day the game started, watched as the IHC's website developed, followed Charlie Frost's blog from post one, then him and @TheIHC on twitter, became an Ambassador, completed all Ambassador tasks (promoting HEAVILY on twitter, facebook, and all across the web), joined their search for a post-2012 Leader, pushed tons of people to support my nomination, completed every game (even earning a higher final score than some people who were chosen as candidates), solved the origami pyramid puzzle, called Soren's voicemail daily and listened to all the messages, watched as he was cast out, e-mailed him in support, kept an eye on his blog, and on Corruption Theory, read the first chapter of Jackson Curtis' book, went to the gas stations, picked up a drop, decoded documents, carried the phone around for a month, accessed ARC's employee login, found Satnam's hidden message to Soren, bid on the Naaczcaal ticket, e-mailed Isabella St. Simon, completed the secret jigsaw puzzle, and even made a 2012 playlist. Plus whatever else I may be forgetting Wink

No reader here. My guess is they went out to people who were a little LESS involved. In the end it's all advertising, and spreading the goods out beyond the heavily involved people serves that greater purpose.

Still, this is a pretty cool map. And it's been a fun ride.

Just to add I became an "at home" Ambassador winner when they held the Comic-Con contest.
- Completed all tasks and even asked about the one that was removed.
- Harassed my friends on Twitter for the past few months.
- Participated in the election.
- Retweeted almost everything IHC and 2012Movie related.
- Answered the questions of random people who spoke to TheIHC/Soren/Charlie when I could. (<3 TweetDeck)
- Uploaded videos to youtube (and got hits! lol)
- Kept my Ambassador referral link active on everything I tweeted/linked back to TheIHC. Even made a subdomain redirecting to my referral link (http://TheIHC.Darnell0216.com/)

I wore my Ambassador shirt to the ARC drop and the rep was very happy to see it. Even took my pic and had me sign a release. Doubt that influenced anything but it surprised me.

In all I got the IHC branded Webbie w/ Ambassador shirt, Tube 1 (movie poster), disposable Nokia, flash drive and now Tube 2 w/ the Reader. The reader and tube are shipped separately, though they technically should arrive at the same time. Smile

NOTE: I just realized that PostLarval's letter is different from mine. It's a safe bet if you don't have this particular excerpt, you won't get the reader Sad

OKay, so the packages with the readers seem to be random. I we have confirmation that participants with Comic Con are getting both types of packages. Lets keep the reports coming in. It gives us all hope. They are all coming by Fedex Right?

Yep via Fed-Ex. By the way, updated my previous post with an excerpt from the letter. Might help people figure out if the packages are coming separately.

So did you solve one of the puzzles Darnell? the book cipher puzzles? I know that Celine, Rowan, and a few others here solved puzzles for CT, But Celine said she didn't get a reader? If you really think about it only about 7 people were mentioned on CT as the puzzle solvers, and the main one was Rowan.

I didn't send any of the ARC drop solutions to CT. I suck at ciphers I didn't make lol. Outside of what I posted above, the only other things I did was interact on the FB pages of Soren/IHC/ThisIsTheEnd and reply to their occasional tweets as if they were real. I think CT's statement "those that helped me" isn't meant to be taken at face value and is merely a pre-written script. The Reader is either totally random or based on an effort we're missing.

Oh and to add to what someone mentioned, I was one of the ambassadors shown in the gallery.

Okay, you and I were both on the gallery for ambassadors, but I solved a puzzle and you didn't so I TRULLY think the readers are Random.

My letter didn't have the mention of the e-reader, so that confirms I wasn't going to get one.

I did find the second schematic for the countdown clock in my package (it was more tightly wrapped with the map/poster), which I thought I hadn't gotten originally.

Come to think of it, they have seemed to exhibit random selection for activities - I got a phone, but I didn't get the text message on it when they were sent. I did get the phone call a few days ago, which others who have the phones reported not getting.
