Saw the new locked thread on the forums. Looks like the next puzzle is here!

But yeah, no idea where to start...

Not an anagram, as far as we know.

Nothing new on the sect news network...

Edit: "Everything has an origin." Another way to phrase that is everything has a "beginning".

I really wish Siegfried had given us a clue last time. These words mean nothing to me. I got Llama out of it if it's an anagram... lol. Doubt that means anything.

Could they mean "word origins"? perhaps we should look up word origins for words like "moon" "wolf" etc.

We should also look into substitution ciphers. If it is, there aren't many 6 letter words with 3 identical letters.

For "wolf": Wolf's origin is Old Norse and Germanic, and its use, German, Hebrew, Yiddish, and English. Old Norse and Germanic origin, English, German, and Hebrew use: Derived from the element wulf which is of the meaning 'wolf'.

For "moon": Moon is a Germanic word, related to the Latin mensis (month). It is ultimately a derivative of the Proto-Indo-European root me-, also represented in measure (time), with reminders of its importance in measuring time in words derived from it like Monday, month and menstrual.

(meanings taken from various sites)

I took a look at thesectishere.com (the offical Sect website thingy), but didn't find anything new. After all, that's where the ARG began, wasn't it?

Origin might also refer to the first episode of Riese. I'll take another look tomorrow.

Hmm. They did say to turn up the sound/ wear headphones to get the "full" experience, but I didn't catch anything the first few times around. Maybe there was something and I missed it.

Just posting this to let people know I tried it:

If you apply "origin" to "bolkel olamaa" as you would in a Vigenère cipher, then you get:

pftqmy ccisin

That is, if I did it right. Here's the link to that cipher:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigen%C3%A8re_cipher

My theory was that the word "origin" is a keyword to decipher "bolkel olamaa"
Anyone know any other relevant ciphers that use keywords? I felt really good about Vigenère, because "origin" and the other words all have 6 letters, but it looks like it didn't work.

Well, There's always the Playfair cipher, but that's normally seen like this:

ly ki we rm, etc.,

with the keyword allowing you to decipher it. However, since that's not how the words are set up, I'm not sure.

Can't be playfair. No double letter pairs in that cipher.

I've been trying to work through caeser and vigenere ciphers, but, not sure on the keyword...

I think it would be deeper then the origin of the game, or show, as this is 'ingame' it'd likely to be story related.

As the sect is a religion, do you think this refers to creation, or god? (Sonne - Ritter, this is contrary to siegfried's beliefs however), or another creation/god from the old religions?

Or is it siegfried's personal orgin?

Thoughts?

Well, Lune is the spirit of the Moon IG.

Using vigenere, if you apply "Lune" (11,20,13,4), then Bolkel becomes miyopf.

No dice. Maybe it's not a code thing at all. It could be another language.

I like that it's not easy to solve... but my brain hurts from trying to think of where to start... funny, that "beginning/origin" is the clue.

Ive tried some of these words with thisisnotthepath.com/ but no results.

SEIGFRIED'S ON THE FORUM

Maybe he'll leave us a clue!!!

Edit: and he's gone... like a ghost, leaving no imprints, as far as I can see. I left him a message on his profile, maybe he'll respond.
