Also on the subject of dates and numbers, the Spectrin site has some text down the right border that reads: "in business since 1724". Seems an odd choice of year, unless it's pointing to something else. I cannot imagine a small, specialised, investigations firm surviving nearly three hundred years.

Hi guys, been following on here for a while, glad to be able to get in at the ground floor on this one.

The 1700 date does seem strange, it's followed through in the Case Gallery with photos of supposed cases.
Also thought it was strange for a covert investigation kind of company to have a gallery of past cases. Any possibility of something hidden in the photos?

I've emailed sarahk@spectrin explaining I needed her help to find someone ("Find Her" reference off wipe the future) and mentioning Heiti, no reply yet, anyone else want to try mailing her?

When I found Alex's blog I noticed that she looked a lot like the girl in the Ditch The Tech videos. It was mentioned to her via tweets, and now she's posted about it on her blog- confirming that she thinks it looks just like her. And obviously, she's freaked about it.

Alex Dawson wrote:
The video. Yep, it looks like me. Sounds like me. I look scared in that video. I feel scared, right now, thinking about it. It's hard to watch something like that, seeing my face speaking words I've never said, never heard before ("ditch the tech", wtf?).

She also notes that Rossum has offices in Akranes, Iceland, listed as the "Heiti Branch". And she shares some information about her friends that may or may not be significant.

I've e-mailed every address and called every number immediately upon finding them. No replies yet. I'm really interested in acquiring Spectrin's Tip Sheets... I hope I made a solid enough case for needing them Smile

Oh, and that client login page is now accessible. A wrong entry brings up the following message: "Please check page 23 of your Client Kit to confirm that your information is correct."

I'm wondering if the login would have anything to do with the open cases in the Case Gallery? There are two:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1811, Case 17A14
1962, Case 59002

Anyone got other thoughts on the open cases?

I thought maybe the case files would be the login and "heiti" would have something to do with th passwords. I've tried the obvious combinations with just "heiti" as the password already though.

Sara's Notes

It has been confirmed for a while now that there is a Dollhouse branch in Akranes. Still not sure how this connects but we're getting closer.

It should be noted, if you want to figure it out yourself, that the login information isn't related to the case gallery.

Hmm. That directory was set up to allow file listing an hour or so ago, and those files weren't there... Funny, file listing has been disallowed since then too. When I was able to get a file list, I found two files that weren't used on the site:

http://www.spectrin.com/images/mission_book.jpg
http://www.spectrin.com/images/04_services.jpg

They didn't look particularly helpful to me.

That second one I've seen on the site before.

I transcribed the notes as they were very difficult to read. They look oddly blocked but that is because I wrote them down exactly as shown, line for line.

Sara's Notes

Recent Project: Reykjavik/Akranes
Dates: Oct 23 - 26

Oct 23/09

Arrived in Reykjavik. Weather *note: Reykjavik is capital of Iceland
sunny though brisk. Meet
source at restaurant close to
the airport. Instructed to visit
a small fishing villiage nearby.
Name: AKRANES. Several individuals
there have recently shown signs of
possession. Two have recovered
while the other six have not.
Will rent car & travel tomorrow.
Nothing unusual to report.

Ot 24/09
Drove through mild (wild?) ___ (town?)
to AKRANES. Lovely small town
on coast. Crossed the
Hvalfjord f/tunnel. Noticed high

number of service intrances
& vents. Met Andrea who
descrived her brother's situation.
Basically, he disappeared overnight
then ____ (returned?) claiming to be
a soldier and was able to
gun down a wild fox with
uncanny accuracy. Old villiage
woman went into panic.
Said they needed staves.

Oct 25/09
Looked into staves today.
Similar to runes. People here
often tattoo them. --->

Rune 1: get a girl
Rune 2: protect against
abuse of power
Rune 3: To prosper
in trade
Rune 4: to unlock

Also found via Twitter was the Spectrin tip sheet.
http://www.escapestory.com/spectrin_generaltips.pdf
Escapestory is not of any importance, just someone's website to host the info.

The story Sarak tells sounds similar to a) Victor's flashback of being a soldier and b) the guy in the story sounds like he was imprinted.

Note that this takes place in Iceland and it's already confirmed as having a Dollhouse there.

Alder, you were right about http://www.spectrin.com/images/04_services.jpg not being on the site. There's a very similar page though. Seems like it's a rough draft of what that page could have been. Not very helpful.

The first picture, I blew up like crazy and it just seems to be a generic mission statement.

Yeah, I think the first picture is the same text as what's on the mission statement page.
