Okay so i also heard about this through Drunk Tank. The first thing i thought was "New ARG!" Has anyone here emailed the guy asking if he was shot at? That and he doesn't have a picture as a burn mark.

Maybe he did make an effort, maybe we just didn't find it. Either way, it must have a purpose and I intend to find out what it is. I sent him a message telling him 'my friends and I' could help and he should contact us. I'm waiting on a reply to figure this out.

sorry for the double post. I got a reply from the guy; i basically asked him if i could ask some questions about the device, he replied that i could. i'm sending him another reply right now. anybody else check their inboxs

I've kept my eyes on this also.

On the above point I did notice the FAQ was updated 11 days ago. [i.e. 11/06/09].

I sent him another email trying to pin down where the incident occurred. Based on the story, it sounds like he was on the 580 between Livermore and the speedway. googlemaps

If this does turn into something, the fact he lives in Livermore, where the Livermore National Labs are located, has to tie into the time travel aspect of the story.

Which is like 40 miles south we east of Livermore and on the other side of the Altamont Pass (Coast Range).

I stumbled across this site myself not too long ago. Literally 'found' it on stumbleupon. That may be how it's leaking into the blogosphere so quickly.

Anyway, it seems to me that the whole story is just to support the 'album,' which is just a mashup of the former members solo careers all thrown together. It doesn't sound too bad, but even in an alternate universe, it's not the Beatles.

I think the guy is just trying to get his stuff out there with a new and clever approach, though I'd love for this to be an ARG.
