From comments in Alex's latest blog post (not the one she just announced)

Kimi

I think that's an excellent idea, Alder. Perhaps Liz can help you Alex, as she's interested in myth. She probably knows all about staves.

Wasn't there a Kimi mentioned a while back? She disappeared or something? I can't remember.

Me too. Not that there's anything wrong with that! If it is fan made, it's a great effort to try and publicize the show.

Oh, no, definitely not a bad thing! I love that people do stuff like this.

Looks like they are definitely responsible:

From a post by Dessy on Whedonesque:

"I believe that our best bet in achieving the above is a cohesive online advertising campaign with clear and powerful message, parallel to a stealth viral attack. (Would love to do traditional advertising as well, but unfortunately we don't have that kind of resources.) This, in conjunction with the music album competition, can hopefully build critical mass and get the press a-buzzin'.

Without giving too much away, everything I've mentioned above is happening. It will begin trickling in as soon as this Friday and only get louder from there. If you want to help, follow @whyiwatch and @gossi on Twitter and tell everyone that Dollhouse is NOT canceled and is returning for a double-episode TV event on Dec 4th.

First column, fourth picture down. I'm almost positive that's not a coincidence.

Sorry Ceribri That was me! I used the first name that I thought of when I posted! And you're right, there was a Kimi. It was from the first attempt at viral marketing back when the show was launched as far I remember. There was a website called Where's Kimi. Some bloke called Sheridan was trying to find Kimi Lassek.

Sorry if I caused any confusion by using the name Embarassed

I do think, however, that this ARG might be fan made which I have no problem with! Anything to bump up the ratings come December Smile

Personally, I have no issues with a fan-run ARG. I think it's ingenious and if it IS fan-made, it sure fooled me.
The only thing is that the girl from the #Ditchthetech looks SO much like Felicia Day but the darkness makes it hard to be sure.

 Well, *I* like it...

Yeah. Honestly? I don't think Fox could actually pull off something like this. Can't say I truthfully have a basis for comparison or am the best judge of what is or isn't hip (I didn't even know what an ARG was until Trent Reznor did an interview about them in Wired -- how NPR is THAT?).

But overall, I'm pretty impressed.

I do wish Alex would hurry up and update her blog, though...

I've been trying various usernames & passwords on Rossum's intranet, and snickering at the warning that says "This is a private computer network. Unauthorized access will result in termination." How can they fire me if I don't work there, right? Then I remembered that terminate could have another meaning.... meep.

Yeah. If nothing else? The username/password requirement can be taken pretty literally. Drupal's security is really tight. (I LOVE that platforn, Drupal FTW!)
