Just occurred to me - if rhodiola is scratched out in the ink recipe, wouldn't that mean it isn't the right ingredient? Maybe we're supposed to find the right ingredients to make the recipe work.

I missed that part, but it makes sense.
I noticed that the canceled weekly staff meeting was to be held on Oct. 16th, a friday where Dollhouse didn't air.
Keeping in mind the not so good ratings of the show, the memos about client retention could be seen as a call for stronger audience. The cancelled meeting could be linked to not airing the show on the 16th.
Also, Topher's tests on a new "Narative Diagnostic suite" could be a re-evaluation of the show or something of the like.
Any thoughts ?

From what I've read, the stave (Helm of Awe) mentionned in Sara's notes is for protection. The guy she talks about recovered thanks to it. Though we don't know if he was tattooed when he cam back or prior to his return.

Yesterday chixor sent an email to Sara about the ingredients list:

From the looks of chixor's email, the Rhodiola is a correct ingredient, and Sara is still trying to come up with the 1/2 pinch of unknown. I don't know why the last two ingredients were obscured, other than to make reading them more difficult for the puzzle solve.

We didn't get the ingredient list from Sara, we got it through Matt's logon. Maybe Matt knows something Sara doesn't. Matt's password was Dendrobium, and some google searching suggests that some species of Dendrobium do have uses in chinese medicine. On the other hand, Sara saw people in Iceland with tattoos recover, and Rhodiola grows in Iceland.

The ingredients list referenced Sara.
So I asked her if the recipe looked familiar and she said yes, and wanted more information as she had seen the recipe before regarding her case.

I just looked in the source for Rossum & they added this name to the meta section: koji.takahashi. I plugged it into the forgotten password section of the Rossom intranet login, & it's a valid user name!

Still don't have a password, but it's a start...
