 		n00b here,

Not exactly where I stand on the whole Alex=TTA debate
However, I think there are a couple of things we can infer form entry 18.

1. We know the slender man's presence somehow warps a/v and erases memory, so he must be somewhere in or around the house during entry 18.

2. Masky (Alex or otherwise) seems to be deranged or zombified. Perhaps he's under the control of slenderman? After all, the last we saw Alex he was pretty beat up.

I'm also pretty frustrated with the lack of update... anyone have new clues/leads?

Anyway, just because one character is out of the game, at least for now, doesn't mean that J won't continue. There are plenty of other leads he can take. He can get more MH footage, he can contact Tim again, he can return to the house to find out what happened. These guys are resourceful; I think we've seen that so far. It's not the endgame yet. Just because there's been a change in the expected routine does not indicate the end of the world, Marble Hornets-related or not.


I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm not freaking out because of a lack of a TTA response, I'm freaking out because of a lack of ANY progress (besides a twitter post saying "oh gee, no TTA!") for a week now. If they're going for suspense-building, this is really overkill.

It took 8 days for totheark to respond to Entry 15.
Almost every Entry has come 2 weeks after the previous one, with #18 being the exception.
The gap between the uploading of the Addition Video and Entry 17 was 12 days. That's 12 days of no activity.

The last activity was a tweet from J four days ago. The last video went up 6 days ago. I wouldn't be worried about Marble Hornets being slow unless Thanksgiving rolls around without any updates.

 		usually there is some sort of activity, but instead all we got is J posting about TTA's late response. i dont like him waiting for a response along with us. he should be looking for things while he waits. keep us updated dammit

Yeah the videos were real slow earlier, but it wasn't really noticable because plot hadn't really... gotten up to speed like it has now. I mean, the guy got attacked by a masked dude, blacked out until morning and woke up in the forest... wouldn't you start looking through the tapes even more and try to figure out what the hell's going on?

Actually no, there isn't. J only ever uses twitter right before and right after a new video (be it totheark or Entry) goes online. And oftentimes he'll go as long as eight to twelve days without any activity at all. This is even as recent as Entry 15, when he wasn't just looking through tapes but actually doing investigation of his own. And besides, it's assumed that he's looking through tapes when he doesn't say much, because lately he only ever mentions them if he's found something new (Entry 17, I'm looking at you).

You can absolutely ask him to update more--I'm not going to stop you from doing that (I'll actually back you up!) but I'm pointing out that the speed at which the story is progressing is actually quite normal. This isn't Eldritch Errors or the Lost Ring, with daily updates--this is a video series that updates with a new Entry (& accompanying totheark video) 2-3 times a month.

That said, I'm fairly certain that the point of our anxious waiting is to drive home the point that something happened to totheark.

 		he actually used to talk on twitter 3-4 days before a video would go up about random stuff. but 6 days without anything from him or TTA is just annoying

He is probably just filming something as of late and trying to think which route to take this story. Its not like this is a pre-planned series. Its a day by day kind of thing. Probably a writer's block heh.

He hasn't been doing that recently, and even going back to Entry 14 he posted around the time that the totheark response went up.

 		[OOG] You guys DO realize that this is a young dude and maybe at most a few of his friends running this, right? Probably low or no budget, to boot. People have real lives. This production, while inexpensive, must cost money to make and that means getting funding. He may be out racking up capital, he might be out with his family or friends, he could be sick, injured, or on a crack bender. Who knows? The point is, cut him some slack - if you were running the show, got stressed out, needed a few days to unwind, work on the plot and get your head straight, wouldn't you want everyone to be understanding? That said.. where are the !@#!@# updates?! I'm bored here, dude. You're my personal entertainment slave, post Entries and creepy crypto-videos, now.
