But, um, yeah, that picture is most definitely Tim. Sideburns, same face shape. I think he's pretty much obvious.

So, next question: Why is Tim in the TTA videos?

The music really interests me. I can swear I've heard music like this playing, at like a museum or a theme park or something, but I can't recognise the song at all.

Anyway, I'm just psyched that he's okay. TTA is awesome.

Rampant speculation:

The sinking ship symbolizes a sinking ark.
Totheark was killed, possibly stabbed by J in entry 18.
Tim was Totheark.

Maybe Totheark is multiple people who are allied for one purpose?

Of course, rampant speculation. These are just the first ideas that came to my head with this.

I think the message is possibly directed at Tim. The end part where "Smile for the camera." did it for me. It's a shot from one of J's Entries, where Tim is on camera. That, combined with Tim's evasiveness during the interview in 15 leads me to believe that the message is directed toward Tim. Yet, I think, also at the same time, it is meant to be read by J, with "Tell us your secrets". Us, as in multiple people, as in J and TTA.

I don't know, but it seems to be the most obvious conclusion to me.

I think its important to remember that while all the characters seem sketchy and evasive, they have a tendency to never remember any of the pinnacle moments when we see SM on the tapes.

For instance, in entry 17 with Tim - years before J would even receive the tapes - J tells us at the end of the tape that he doesn't recall this moment whatsoever. So we could only assume that neither Tim or Alex would remember SM sightings very vividly.

I don't think we can accuse Tim of anything malicious. I think his evasiveness might stem from the fact that he doesn't recall and thus doesn't understand and doesn't want to seem crazy? Nevertheless his thoughts would probably lead to some insight since if he did talk about it, he would probably provide the most direct conversation about SM yet, other than from unexplained sightings in entries and TTA references.

With Tim showing up (We're all in agreeance that it's Tim, yea?) in the video, that seems like some pretty heavy implication to me. Which is especially interesting, considering that the response to Entry 15 is "Advocate", which was nothing but footage of Brian.

TTA says that Tim knows something about what TTA wants, and has given up on the house because it's been compromised in some manner.

As far as the title of "Messages"- the video seems to coincide with the Tweet pretty well. Perhaps TTA has been busy with J? If Signal is any indicator, he's a little strange, and perhaps J has been feeling harassed while TTA has been trying to give him messages.

Once again, we run into that eternal wall of "Not enough fucking information."
