Huh. I thought Lynch wanted Mark to find Rapture... why would he rip the page like that?

If it's not Lynch, then who is it, and why?

Hmm... who's had access to the book besides Mark?

Phil. But I don't see why he would have a reason to, unless he has been Lynch's lackey all along.

The answer I'm pretty sure is "KULUSUK" which translates into AR NY NW NY NR NY AR
Box is doing some funny things... spitting out more symbols. Probably another riddle. I will try to translate.

"But know ye the point where the sky train derailed?"
That's the translation. Where did the C47 derail?

Just found something else.
http://www.oldwings.nl/content/c47_yic/c47.htm
"Now, almost 57 years after the accident, the C-47 still lies on the barren and muddy shoreline of Station Bay near the now unmanned Isachsen weather station on Ellef Ringnes Island in Canada.

And even though it has been lying there for so long, the aircraft did not deteriorate all that much. Of course the crash itself and 57 years of severe weather have left their marks: the paint has faded considerably (the red paint on the tail in particular), the fabric of the control surfaces is completely gone, and most windows and doors have been removed or smashed in. But apart from all this, the aircraft is still basically complete and in one piece. The remote location has effectively kept the ever-present vandals away."

That doesn't work... neither does Isachsen (DR NR NA RY AY NR EA AN), and Ellef Ringnes has too many letters (12 x 2, and there are only 20 spaces).

What else do we know about the C-47?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957_Cebu_Douglas_C-47_crash

The 1957 crash of a Douglas C-47 plane named "Mt. Pinatubo" on the slopes of Mount Manunggal,[1] Cebu, Philippines, killed the 7th President of the Philippines, Ramon Magsaysay, and 24 other passengers. The crash is estimated to have occurred at 1:40:00 AM, March 17, 1957, Philippine Standard Time (17:40:00 PM, March 16, 1957, GMT).[2] Several high-ranking Philippine government and military officials, as well as journalists, were also among the dead. A reporter for the Philippine Herald, Nestor Mata, was the sole survivor of the accident.

I'm wondering if we should just be concentrating on the first one... all the wrecks we've been discussing so far have been in roughly the area that Mark is talking about, I doubt a plane that crashed in the Philippines would interest Lutwidge.
