 		Meaning of totheark
Ok so me and my friend were discussing vid #19 and we got on the subject of totheark and what it could mean, well after tossing some ideas around we started looking at the word ark and the different ways it could be used and came up with this.

Ark could be referring to J as an archiver of tapes, from the beginning that has been his primary goal.

Another thing that just came to me as I was typing that was what if SM or Masky is using J to collect their story for them? Manipulating him into creating this archive of their work.

 		I'll stand by the YAMA theory. If YAMA really means "You Are My Ark", then Totheark would be interpreted as "To J."

As far as how we can interpret "the ark" as far as what it means and why it is a reference to J, my best guess would be that J is his protector in a way, even though it seems like Totheark is hostile towards him.

Where did this theory come from?


In other news, I know I'm acting a fool, but every time I read TTA's full name this plays in my head for some reason

This is even sillier then when people thought it linked SM to a hindu death goddess. Honestly, the whole binary clock puzzle has been a dead end so far, but the translating numbers to letters part was a completely unneccesary step in an already obtuse puzzle. I could buy it if it translated to something even tangentially related, like "ARK" or "SM". But "YAMA"?

Anyway it doesen't even make sense for TTA to suddenly switch syntax and call J "My Ark" instead of "The Ark". It sounds like he's serenading him.

I think the most important thing people have been overlooking regarding TTA is this.



It's small but important part. From it you can surmise 3 things.


  • Whatever the Ark is, actually exists, and is something physical.
  • TTA doesen't actually know where the Ark is.
  • TTA thinks J has the ark, or at least it's location.


So now you've got a very basic intent. TTA is essentially saying "You fucker, give me back the ark" and J is understandably puzzled. TTA is presumably familiar with J, since he was stalking him 3 years (!) ago, back when marble hornets was being filmed. Did J take something important that started this whole Slenderman business? Is his knowledge of somethings location (the red electrical shed thing?) what TTA is after?[/list]

 		I stand by the theory that the name ToTheArk is simply the result of Alex Kralie's name, implying that Alex is TTA. I remember someone proposed the idea of Alex possibly having a middle name beginning with the letter "r".

Alex R. Kralie: A.R.K.

Furthermore, working off of that theory, TTA is quite literally leading J to him in Addition and Signal (at least). ToTheArk leading J to the A.R.K.

Also, whoever proposed this theory also stated that A. Kralie is an anagram for "ark a lie," but that's not entirely germane to the discussion. S'just interesting.

 		An idea I had...

I noticed somewhere in the 170-something page Trailhead that someone SUGGESTED that Alex' middle initial was or could be 'R'.

totheark: Is aware that J is looking for Alex and intends to metaphorically or literally (I haven't decided yet) take J to Alex R. Kralie.

I've yet to see any evidence that Alex' middle initial is actually 'R' so it's just an idea for now.

 		Keep in mind that TTA only came about in Entry 9, and it wasn't absolutely pertinent for J to find Alex until 14. TTA may be helping J find Alex, but its town serve his own purpose, rather than helping J.

 		I currently prefer the YAMA theory because we've already pretty much agreed that the ark has to do with J and because really all of the messages have been "to J". In the absence of a better theory, I'm going to stick with this one for the time being.

As for Alex R. Kralie, people already asked J about that and J replied "I don't really remember Alex's middle name" or some such, which in META-speak means that ARK =\= Alex R. Kralie. You're welcome to believe that in the absence of a conclusive ARK identification, but there exists no evidence in support and significant evidence against it.

 		Well, my in put is this:

Ark has MANY different meanings, an Ark is a cabient used to store a Torah scroll, it's the "boat" of infant Moses, there's an office block in London that looks like boat hence the name "the London Ark", there's obviously Noah's Ark, there's the ark of the covenant and there's the Ararat anomaly which is supposedly somewhere on Mt.Ararat in Turkey.

There are TONS of other meaning so it could be instructing J to find the ark, find Alex, could be telling him, indeed, that J is his Ark as a carrier, as in he is able to use and manipulate J into doing as he pleases therefore carrying his mind.........so to speak.

Ok, On a whim i decided to look up some of the video names and came across Deluge, the story of the ark is know as a Deluge myth. So all we need to know it which deluge myth are we talking about and how can it help us figure this out.

 		i think the masked man is totheark and he's just messing with J in entry 19 i mean look at him laying there with him "smiling" at the camera dangling his feet he's just playing right now but i have a suspicion something bad is going to happen soon
