Great video, geezyj. Summed up all we know so far quite well. Admittedly, we don't know much, but your video lays out what we do. And props for not mentioning the "viral" site .
Also, Happy Thanksgiving! I'm in Canada, but I hope I still might be able to get in on that MGP feast. I'm pretty sure there's more than enough to go around.

LOL I agree with chrizzy. I love when searching the 500rads everyone points to that military site... Here at unforums we are pros. lol. Nice job not putting that in... Even if this is not Cloverfield you do realize the marketing and the secrecy are quite the same. So gauranteed we have an ARG coming. I thought it seemed weird as if JJ had fallen off the face of the earth. Now we know. How long before we get our first trout on this lol?

Finally...something.
I've been lurking around here forever looking for something new. Maybe this is the beginning.

I find myself checking nonstop to see if there's anything new. It reminds me of how I felt after I first heard about Cloverfield. It's making me giddy.

The "viral" site is actually just one of thousands of reports accessioned by the Defense Technical Information Center, which is a very legitimate agency of the US Defense Department. Unless JJ has been planning this and got the DoD to go along with his plans of making up the DTIC since 22 years before he was born.
The movie, 500 Rads, on the other hand, sounds interesting. We can always hope.
Also, I'm still wondering what's happened to JJ's mysterious earthquake movie...
Remember the symbol & numbers behind Teddy Hansen's Missing poster? It lead us to find info on a (legitimate!) website about oily wastes. ( http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24978&start=120 )
My guess is 500 Rads is another significant clue, using a legitimate information source...
I'm stoked! I can feel the first bubbles of excitement and obsession starting to rise again...

Please!

lol, I'm sure it's not Johnson. I'm pretty sure 500 Rads and Samurai Jack have nothing in common but the awsomeness that is JJ Abrams

I was thinking the same thing, johnson, but, as geezyj said, they have nothing in common. Unless, of course, Samurai Jack has been made infertile in some sort of radiation accident and vents his rage on hordes of sumo zombies.

Here we finally go maybe? I highly doubt we get anything viral until the trailer, so the wait it on.
I found this moronic article where the writer tries to link the ending of Cloverfield to 500 Rads.

I set this dope straight on the comments section.

I know this has nothing to do with anything, but I noticed that the link to the old Slusho store on slusho.jp now takes you to the web page of some company that does trade store displays. It looks totally OOG, though.
In general, it's interesting that Paramount has chosen to keep all the old viral sites alive nearly two years after the movie's release. It would make it so easy to just pick back up where we left off. I'm just sayin'...

You know, this is the most activity we've had around here for 4 months. It feels good.
While I was doing my routine check of 500rads.com, it occurred to me, they may be reserving the domain to keep other people from using it to start a fake ARG or gamejack whatever real ARG they have planned. The last thing we need is another Aladygma or Ethan Haas.
Then again, they may really be planning something with 500rads.com lol either way...
