[INFO & SPEC] Hivekuts Axon Reports & Discussion

Holy Crap!!!

I just thought of something.

Melissa is sending out these axons to find her crew.
(The PMs are trying to find out where we live.)

Each time we get an axon hot in a remote location Melissa will use it again
in the next set. We don't want that. We want a final set of axons that has
locations just around the corner from our homes.

Do not, I repeat, do not drive outside of your hometown unless it's the
only way to unlock a .wav file!!

Comments?

This sounds totally reasonable - I agree, let's not be too quick to drive into the middle of nowhere. It doesn't look like anything special happens when we activate all of the Axons in one coordinate group - several of them apparently were fully activated with nothing to show for it, and now all of the unactivated axons are "Cancelled" and their coordinates deleted from the ILB page. I think that you're right - the Operator is trying to find her crew and is doing so by sending these messages out over this very primitive network that she finds herself on, and she'll keep deleting unanswered Axons and trying new ones until she accounts for her whole crew.

So, let's make Melissa work for US, and send those Axons OUR way! Smile

You realise that this also means that they will have to provide more sound bytes for us as we won't be hitting as many as they would have thought originally.
YAY!
More story.

Not neccessarily - each sound file has NINE Axons associated with it, only THREE of which are required to be activated in order to unlock the file; perhaps as we "teach" Melissa which geographic areas are "good" and which ones are "bad", she will be able to focus her attention only on those areas.

In theory, as she learns that certain Axons will ALWAYS "go hot" (be answered by a Beekeeper), she could just release a new series of files to ONE good Axon each. I, for one, would prefer that over a long, continuing race across the USA every few days to frantically try to find new payphones. Very Happy

OK, I took care of the Blue_then_Red 06:59 PDT 35.074196 -089.919320 axon this morning.

I looked, but couldn't find another thread about discussion of these new audio clips. I thought I might post what I listened to. Unfortunately, I did not record the audio clip. I guess I'll start a new thread.

Two Observations - One disturbing

I hit the 6:39 (Dude) Axon in St. Louis this morning.

1) She asked for her real name. I said, "Melissa". There was a long silence so I said, "Melissa" again. Either there is a long pause before she speaks, or it takes some time for the voice recognition software to fire up. Don't be affraid to repeat yourself.

2) Last time there were a lot of people at this one (or so I heard - I missed it). Today I was alone. This could be because most people didn't expect an update 'til noonish, but it makes me a bit concerned.

It seemed to be a continuation of the Date story line. Aparently Kamal and Aden met in the flesh. Hiro was running backup digitally and, when it turns out that summoning police was exactly what Kamal didn't want, Hiro pressed the red button had a zillion armed cops show up at his location instead. Hiro is appeased with leftovers from a high end resteraunt.

Also, Bill Clinton (he was in politics a while ago) is doing a book signing about two blocks from the 14:53 Axon. If you are heading to that one I recomend going early. A former president, rush hour and a squad of 23rd level grand master geeks waiting for a phone call at a pay phone. What could go wrong? Wink

She asked me her real name this time too.

The audio clip also was a discussion about the date with "Soph" as it was said in the clip. I believe it was the date between Aiden and Sophia Bosseneau.

The clip started out with one guy(I believe Kamal) going into the kitchen to get them another beer. While he was in the kitchen, the other guy(I believe Aiden) said something about switching the buttons from blue to red, which explains why the red button caused the cops to show up in (Dude). They also talked about what they ate. I believe Aiden said he ate Lamb Meatballs.

At the end of the clip something was said about Aiden expecing his parents to come in town or something like that.

What I meant was that to still get to 777/777, more audio clips would have to be released if we don't attack all the payphones in each set. If we had all of the original axons made 'hot', then there would be fewer needed to get to 777/777. The same goes for this set of axons.
I don't know if I'm making much sense here, but I'm having trouble articulating my thoughts today.

I got To_do and Pigeon.

To do is the most interesting one.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Someone (a female) is being beaten/tortured then you hear a series of beeps indicating the end of a recording or monitor, then a fenale voice (presumably Jan) says what do you want me to do?

Pigeon
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Jan: High Marta, what you got today?
Marta: Pigeon or ??Fish?
Jan: ??? Any specials
Marta: ???
Jan: that was a long time ago, I was much younger then
male passerby: Hey Janissary

I tried to record it, but you can barely hear it. Can any audio engineers help?

I have plotted out all of the new axons interestingly enough there are two that are outside of the US. one in canada and one in algers for some reason...i call not it on being the one to fly over and pick up that phone.

The one you say is in Canada is actually in Alaska... the state extends south along the coast taking in a number of islands. this has been discussed before. (In the 'Canada' post.)

Which one do you make to be in Algers? A quick scan shows them all to be North America -- not that I don't want there to be European axons!

Whoops, brain-typo, I meant Africa there. (Honest.) Of course I looked at the map... I mean which co-ord pair? (And I mean I did a scan of the co-ords, not the blobs Smile)

edited to clarify
