Alright, I've been lurking for sometime trying to figure this all out and just watched ep 19 today. And the first thing I noticed was camera distortion when masky was next to the camera. Just like in 18.

Due to this, as well as masky having video taped Jay, and Slenderman never actually "attacking" Alex or Jay. Hell, Jay has never even seen Slendy apart from in the videos. Masky has attacked Jay, there was blood found in a locations that Masky was at, possibly linking him to it. I have personally come to believe that Masky is the "Bad" person in this situation. Why he would sit over Jay, I have no idea. BUT if Slendy was bad, why would he follow Alex at a distance and never actually hurt him.

Its my opinion that Masky is the bad one, and unlike how some people have suggested that Masky is protecting Jay from Slendy, I propose the opposite. Whenever Alex ran into Slendy, it was from a distance. A safe distance. Slendy walked around the parimeter of his house, Slendy watched from behind a tree, Slendy was there, but distant. The only exception to this is when he goes into Alex's room, and I still have no clue where he went when alex got up and turned on the light and couldn't see him. Or, at that point, wasn't bothered by him.

The distortion doesn't come from Slenderman. It comes from the Mask guy. Case in point, the episode in which they're doing lines in the car, Six I believe, Slendy is there and relatively close. There is no distortion. Also, Alex walking around the corner when looking for locations with Jay runs into Slendy lurking about, he is very close and no distortion. Thats because Masky is off in the woods taping Jay as we find out in a responce.

Slenderman is there to protect them. Masky is the threat, and when Masky charged Jay Slenderman protected him. Was it the slenderman doll? Was it Slenderman himself? I don't know. I'd guess the doll. But look at it without assuming Slenderman is bad, he follows but never threatens. Nothing about him is ever really threatening. Masky has been proven to be.

Much as I love the idea and thought behind your post, it doesn't seem likely in the MHverse. So far, SM has been painted at best as a neutral, alien entity who happens to fuck up the human world around him due to his aura or whatever, and at worst some creature that has something gruesome planned for J. Not saying your suggestion isn't possible, but it's not very likely either, on the other hand.

P.S. Your screenname is sexy.

CLEARLY what we need to do is get his address. Then we all hole up in his house with him. SM and EFG can't take us all on!

That and a lot of the fear here seems to come from being alone.

Of course! I've always wanted to drive down there to see J. What do you think, guys? We get a little group together and make sure J's not taking any unnecessary risks, like, say, leaving his house to go to school or any other outside-MH activities.

Ok so first off, I've posted as a guest before but finally decided to register.

I have some "news" from correspondence with J. I asked him these questions the day entry 18 was put up, so he is obviously behind with the replies (prolly cuz so many people msg him)

Anyways I asked him

"hey, I was wondering since your knife is missing in entry 18, did you stab that masked person you caught on film?"

and he replied....

"Not sure, but I doubt it.

-J."

So I'm not sure if its of any help in figuring this out, but we can most likely assume that he did not use the knife in the tussle with the masked guy.

"Also, for some reason I keep getting asked my real name. It's Jay. You've all been right from the beginning."
Does anyone get the feeling that this the creators' way of hinting at us that one of our earlier theories was correct?

"You've all been right from the beginning."

The post seems pointless at first, but I highly doubt the creators of MH would do anything unless it had some meaning.

What theory would that be?

He said on SA that he still had the knife with him before he blacked out.

Maybe people are doubting that he can be trusted.

Oh, that theory. I'm not too sure on that, really. Just going to trust J for now, until given a real reason to suspect that something is up.

Not like we have a choice anyways. This isn't really an ARG since we have no influence on it...unless the MH makers are reading all of these threads. But anyways, it's a fun thing to watch an in my opinion J cannot be completele trusted. He can't even trust himself.
