Whoever wrote the ARG must have seen a bit of Doctor Who and went with certain events being locked in time. They must always happen because other events are dependent on it happening.

Could there be something going on with the photo in Alex's last blog update? Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I could almost make out writing in the raindrops.

Personally, I am thinking it's game over at this point, especially since Paul has said "There is nothing more to do." Obviously the character is not omniscient, but when you're structuring a game story... well, you want to be careful when choosing words like that.

I do wonder if the time had elapsed without anyone repeating the phrase to her if she would have gotten away.

I've been giving the game quite a bit of thought and here's things as I have put them together. First:

The Original Timeline

In the original timeline I believe things would have gone like this. Sara Kingsley travels to Arkanes to study reports of possession.

Alex Dawson is working for a PR/design firm that creates a new web site for Rossum. Early November they launch the site. She starts a blog and twitter account. Shortly after, by happenstance, she meets Matt. Matt and her form a relationship. Alex is involved in creating a TV spot for Rossum.

Alex may or may not have been fired from her PR job. Her blog would not have contained "evidence of mental instability" although she would have discussed working for Rossum and her TV spot, so she may have still been let go in breach of NDA. Either way she is offered a job by Rossum, accepts for a variety of reasons (including Matt), given a nice office, flown to Tuscon, and experimented on for about a year.

During that time we can surmise Sara continued her investigations, eventually learned how to brew the tattoo ink, and uncovered some truths about Rossum. Somehow she met Alex and rescued her.

Time passes and sometime after 2019 Alex discovers a way to communicate with the past and tries to change things. That's when we enter:

The Second Timeline

Sara goes to Akranes.

Rossum site goes live. Alex starts tweeting and blogging. DitchTheTech appears and leads us to WipeTheFuture.com. Eventually we uncover logins, various information, alert Alex / freak her out, get Spectrin involved much earlier than they were meant to be, Alex is terminated from her employment, Rossum steps things up because they might lose a valuable test subject.

At some point Matt starts running WTF. I'm not sure if I believe he was running it from the start or took over part way through. In the beginning it pointed us to Sara, but Matt never trusted Sara. We also don't know if him saying Rhadiola was crossed off for a reason was of actual help to Sara (although since she was able to work out the formula shortly after, it seems so). But eventually Matt was severely compromised and we can assume he was made into a doll or sent to the attic. AT THAT POINT WipeTheFuture changes again with the "stronger than she thinks" message, but with Matt being compromised we can assume WTF was compromised and Rossum planted that message there hoping one of us would mention it to Alex. This, perhaps, is what the meta tag "message" was referring to.

Someone does, her programming is triggered, and Rossum are able to pick her up.

Spectrin is dead except for Paul. There is also Most of Robert's family still alive. It is *possible* Paul or one of Robert's family could end up taking Sara's place in the future and rescuing Alex. Or, knowing earlier on how big a threat Rossum is, the truth of the possessions, and the secret of the tattoos, perhaps they'll be better able to fight Rossum when the time comes.

I'd say we lost (dreadfully) the battle, but knowledge is power and perhaps we have armed for the war.

I take a night off to play xbox and look what I have to read over my morning late in work.

Bit confusing though, the last we knew was her tweet saying she was at the airport, then there's suddenly mention of us triggering her, her getting dizy, making spelling mistakes and the announcement from Rossum.

I dont exactly have total freedom on the internet in work (I live in fear they may block these boards too) so I cant see any tweets etc relating to these events, could you guys post up anything we've missed in this (final?) act?

Hey Cyn, Someone tweeted to her "You're stronger than you think!" which was a variation on the previous WTF message. That seems to have been the trigger, and from there you know the rest of the story.

In the light part of the picture. Could be headlights, streetlights, or 0080 or something similar? 0380? 8080?

8080 is twice 4040.

This could be completely bogus, but I tried enhancing the pic. See attached.

What I saw and what I believe lexkitten is also seeing is something above the windows. I can almost make out a X or K in the altered photo.

Stuff like this drives me nuts because it may just be random.

That photo reminds me of those mall photos that you see people crowded around trying to figure out.
Seeing as WTF only has a Thank You now it's time to do more Rossum digging.
