I have never read any of The Dark Tower books, but now feel the need to. Sounds interesting.

Russian bits

Okay, I'll take a stab at the Russian. Now, keep in mind, I'm not a native speaker, and I actually think some of it might be misspelled.

@01:10
The drawing = Susan burns (сьюзен горит)
The note =
Quote:
школьному психологу / school psychologist
пожалуйста рассомотрите [рассмотреть?] / Please [review?]
етот рисунок сортом а.у. / this picture from A. Y.
10. если мы, быть заитересован. / [age?] 10. if us, we have concerns
госпожа бачувик / Mrs. Bachuvik

The two books on the left are: King's The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass and some other Dark Tower book.

@01:15
big red letters = Welcome the Dark-Red King
the visible parts of the drawing say:
Quote:
её край в ещё / in its edge, in more
извлек пользу / learned favor

@01:24
замок темно-красго короля / Castle of the Dark-Red King

Thank you very much disza! What you've translated would make perfect sense... Although as you say about being misspelled; translated wrong (TO the Russian, not your translation FROM it) Would more be the case in two instances.

Namely "Dark-Red King" Although not much difference, those who're big fans of King or The D.T series would know that technically it is "The Crimson King"

As I said not your translation probably that INTO the Russian to begin with, thank you! Smile

Right the Russian is misspelled. I don't misspell krap. Wink

So, for us randoms that haven't read the books and really don't have the time, how much of that video is part of the canon? Are Tet and Sombra in the books?

Spoiler-free roundup...
Tet, Sombra and NCP are part of the books, they are companies in "the real world" (as opposed to Mid World)

Arina Yokova and Crimson Crescent aren't from the books (though if this "experience" counts as canon, then they've become canon). Crimson Crescent probably has something to do with the Crimson King, who is of course part of the books.

The last picture of the girl burning is Susan Delgado from Wizard and Glass.

Digging the pic of Randall Flagg on the bottom there...

A.Y. age 10? Sounds like a Jakeish character

Tet: A ka-tet is a group of individuals bound together by ka. Ka-Shume is the death of a fellow member of a Ka-tet, this breaks the tet.

A tet is essentially just a group.

Arina Yokova is clearly quite a disturbed young woman Confused

Count me the hell into the Unfiction ka-tet! I LOVE the Dark Tower books. And like TIM, I've been out of the loop for a while, thought about looking for a game, clicked on the bookmark...and bam!

YES!

Okay sorry I'm TRIPLE posting, but I just had a chance to watch all of this.

http://www.stephenking.com/promo/discordia_prev2/

This video with the restaurant is, I believe, the place where Callahan died, fighting off the Can-Toi, also where he regained the faith he didn't have in 'Salem's Lot. (Picture from the novel below.)

In the other video, there seems to be a picture of a Russian copy of some Dark Tower related book, as it looks like the Dark Tower while under the influence of CK. (Not Calvin Klein.)

I guess this Arina Yokova is an agent of the Crimson King, who has been obsessed since she was young. Greeaat.

Next to the picture of Randall Flagg, there's a picture of her with a weapon that says What The Fuck is THIS thing? So we can assume these notes aren't Sombra's or AY's, but Tet's. (If not completely obvious because of the TET classified notes.)

I know it's not an ARG, but I'm really hoping WE get to feel like part of Tet Co.!

I don't know about that, I've been pretty obsessed with the Dark Tower since I was little. If I found out Mid World was real, who knows WHAT I'd do!

This looks fun. I'll lend my eye and not my hand. People who lend hands have forgotten the face of their fathers.
