Weird, Buddha's got ten fingers but only eight toes

This isn't the Lost thread, but it's starting to feel like it.

My sentiments exactly. Wink

In all seriousness, an eight-toed Buddha isn't anything new. It's not symbolic or anything, but I've seen it before.

You're right, it does look like a panel...

If it is, however, we can't get into it yet...

I think we'd all be more surprised if there isn't anything inside the statues... or if Mark gets killed by pirates after the drugs (probably) in those buddhas. That would be the ultimate twist ending.

I doubt 2K feels like getting lynched by a mob of angry gamers, so I don't think Mark will be getting killed. At least not by pirates.

UPDATE: Mark's found something he'd missed in the piles of stuff from Lutwidge's lab... a classified ad, calling all those who believe in Utropolis to contact RKQ, c/o I. O. O. P.

Mark wants to know what IOOP is. Also why only the top half of that classified ad was found in the box.

Also, a radio message from Phil, saying a bunch of people on his mailing list for a mysterious postcard that might explain the whole thing.

Any players get a postcard?

Just a quick note, I was looking at what comes with the limited edition of the game http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=76476
and it looks like all the stuff they have given out/mailed out. Id venture a bet they will release a masters edition with a mask as well.

Those aren't the same posters or album art on the CD. Could be the same stuff, but judging from that picture I would say it's new content.

It looks like the second word of the address is "station," I know train and subway stations sometimes have lockboxes, do some also have mailboxes? Although, you can also pretty clearly see "PO Box," would a mailbox in a train station still be considered a post office box? Maybe if people get these postcards they're supposed to drop them off at this box?

Also, is anyone gonna go to the Splicer's Unite thing. That's probably what those masks were for, and why they only went to people in NY and San Fransisco or wherever. A friend of mine lives in Hoboken, he might be willing to go, he liked Bioshock.

The Hellgate Address as it appeared (briefly) on the SITS site during phase 2:

Mark Meltzer
PO BOX 1139

?

UPDATE - and a late one at that! On the far left of his berth, on the steamer trunk there is now a flier for, "The International Order Of the Pawn"

If you click on it, it will open to a great little piece of writing from our old pal OOL. I'll save space and not list it here. It does make it seem that Mark isn't the only person that OOL envisioned taking the journey to rapture.....that adds a bit of a new twist....thoughts? Also OOL calls himself the Red Queen, so our speculation regarding that MAY be closed!!!

Hope everyone is having a great evening!
