Deadline looming

As a gentle reminder, I just noticed that once you reach the end of the puzzle, it mentions the winners being announced in early December; time may be short for a solve and possible grab for swag!

Well, I've got a vigenere password for stareater's Library

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

don't think vigenere was originally used as the password is as long as the message Sad

Made one small correction to stareater's oh so handy rendition:( There are most likely other errors)

Used this the first time:

although my original was slightly different from stareaters

My version of Computers was also slightly different.

By different, you mean more carefully decoded and containing less errors Smile

My first ARG and I need a few hints!

This is my first ARG experience. I'm a huge Stephen King fan and got sucked into this when the Scarecrow Joe blog became active. I'm not familar with code breaking but I did use the Caesar Cipher for the first few puzzles.

I've cracked the easy codes and was hoping for some hints so I could get these solved:

bwknnekpxgvnepwjjkxtaza:wkx/yggj/,/pmn

upcgqrxg(gxqtqezkcgznptgupdg!)st:st/siggqd./

I may have solved this one, but I'm not 100% sure: gpqozfdgxupdgzogxqpccdqtt:gxi/rdq4g/infq/

Is there an actual key that can be used to solve these? Such as something from Joe's blog, another SK book, etc?

I'm pulling my hair out right now and I really don't have enough hair up there to spare. Can anyone throw me a bone? Please...Anyone...Bueller? Thanks.

Put together the first instructions, instructions from the solved riddle page and the chunks of code you think you've solved. With Google and a little trial and error, you're not too far away from a solve, I think.

Act quick so you might get a chance at some swag... I don't think too many folks have solved it yet (either that, or there could be a lot of folks mooching off the forum, but not contributing Confused ).

Over Soon

Well, according to the end of the game, they should be announcing winners pretty soon. We're quickly moving past "Early December."

Anybody else solve it?

JUST got this book from my GF, so I guess I'll check all this out after I read it. Yeah, I know the game's over, but if the site's are still up after, I'll go looking :p
