I like storytime.

Unfortunately, it's just a story. We, as a community, need to stop making stuff up. Your take is an interesting one, but we have no way to know if 13 and Exit were filmed simultaneously or sequentially, who filmed Exit, or what happened to Alex immediately following the events of 13 (remember, J had been missing time during the filming of MH, as seen in 17).

My above post is an idea on how Alex could be TTA and film Exit and the events of Entry 13. It's illustrating a way in which Alex could have filmed both. My over all point being the same as yours that we don't know how Entry 13 and Exit where filmed so we can no more discount Alex being TTA by using it as I can to say he is. Though without a chronological framing it can and will be used for both sides.

It might be worth mentioning that, OOG, you kind of need light to see -anything- in the first place. So it would make sense to stick your otherworldly monster near lamps and such. Razz

Agreed. I have a feeling the emphasis on light/lighting in many of the entries were for dramatic horror purposes rather than for story. Plus, as several have pointed out, there were enough hidden-in-the-dark SM appearances that he's probably good with light or dark hiding spots.

Loved the music video. Brought to mind one item on my list of MH Unsolved Mysteries - why does Alex keep turning lights off when SM is nearby? He turned the lights off in at least three entries (1, 8, 11). After seeing the flashing hallway lights in Return associated with the return of Slenderman, it seems like an important theme. Does SM need light to exist?

Most entries support this theory:
- Entry 1: Standing outside under the porch light
- Entry 2: Alex drives to the SM sighting, which is under a street light.
- Entry 4: Running around a well-lit park
- Entry 6: Bright porch lights
- Entry 7: Daylight
- Entry 12: Daylight
- Entry 13: Daylight
- Entry 14: Lit hallway, SM seems to disappear when entering Alex's dark room
- Return: Flashing lights in hallway

There are a few entries not completely supporting this theory:
- Entry 10: SM was definitely standing around in the dark for most of this. HOWEVER this was his big teleport-a-thon, where he seemed to appear wherever Alex shined his flashlight.
- Entry 11: This was in the dark, but we don't know if it was Slenderman that caused the breeze in Alex's room
- Any hidden SMs found through adjusting contrast/brightness.

1:06 in eleven kinda messes up this theory too. SM is inside the house, in the darkness.

HOLY CRAP THAT'S THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN HIM IN THAT ENTRY O_O

He is definitely there D: he moves when Alex walks by...

Has anyone thought that Masked Man is Alex, and he wears the mask because of the wound he got in 14? Maybe it got worse.

Hell, that would explain the blood in the sink.

I was watching Entry 11 in super slo-mo for the house thread and I spotted Slender Man looming outside the large sliding glass wndow/door in Alex's house.

I was excited but it looks like I got beat to the punch on this one by mere posts. Below are some screen shots.

Well yeah, this info was out there for a while.

I still stand by my statement, though. Single frames in total darkness can look like anything if You look for it long enough Razz

Like I said, I see it, and I think it is him, but for the sake of defending morscata's theory, one can argue that it's not necessarily him.

Guess who just came back from Michaels with a Slender Doll. =D

The one in Entry #18 seemed creepier than this guy, so I was reluctant to go look for one, but this guy is kinda cute. =P

All this talk reminds me of Entry #1. Now, the first time I saw it, it looked like Slender Man was examining the house going "I remember this" or "wtf is this?" before going "SHIT, WHO'S THAT IN THE WINDOW!?". He looked kinda like he had just been returned to this world or something and he was examining his surroundings, when he noticed Alex.

Only problem is the fact that this was caught on tape, and Alex would have had to have been being stalked long enough for him to need to film himself in order to film said scene.

It could be that this was the first time he had found Alex's house, though.

How did Alex not see that? ._. but then again, what would you do when your stalker is only like inches away from you, seperated by a glass?

You know, after we concluded there was a masked man outside the window when Alex checks out the blinds at around 0:56, why couldn't this one actually be this masked man? If that is indeed the sliding door from #16, then the figure isn't that tall and could be a person with a white mask and a dakr outfit. Then this person used the sliding door to enter Alex's house and caused the shadow near the end...

Unless this "masked" figure we saw earlier was SM itself..

I'd say Slendy's most likely there in that shot. I saw him the first time I watched that video, with no brightness or contrast adjusting needed. Anyway, how many other things that you keep around your house look like tall men, complete with head and arm? It seems very unlikely to be anything besides Slendy. It looks too intentional.

But that's not really important, is it? Not like figuring it out will solve anything.

The lights theory is indeed interesting. Especially after I've wondered why Alex would turn off the lights if he was so scared of Slendy. If I was scared that someone was stalking around my house, I'd leave the lights alone and duck under my bed pronto. Being in the dark would not do much for making me feel secure. However, I think we've had enough shots of Slendy in the dark to say that the light theory is pretty unlikely at this point. I'm going to attribute the flickering lights in Return to his capacity to fuck with electricity.

...Though I still wonder why TTA's camera experiences so much less distortion than J's or Alex's, and hardly of the same type.\

I have one of 'em. Was actually moving him about my room today when I was looking for a DVD. He looks even more slenderlike in person, it's so cool.

Had him since before Marble Hornets even started, but he became twice as awesome for that.

Haha, I didn't think of getting one of those figures, but I am in the process of making a little cloth suit for my Slender Doll. =P
