maybe his face is already mostly gone, and he needs it to cover up that fact?
that could be why the markings are there, they make him feel better.

Ya know I'm not much for the Alex is becoming a Slender Man but this theory does make a good reason for the bloody forehead in 14, the bloody sink in 16, and if Alex=TTA=Mask the reason for the Mask and the no talking. Also Jay did say Alex looked very thin and sickly when they last met 3 years ago, however he didn't say anything about bandages or cuts or marks on his face either.

I still think its a bit early to run with this one but it's an interesting speculation.

Just a Random thought I had on to why Masky uses a Mask:

Remember the "Operator" sign? (The crossed O) and remember that this sign might be a resemblance of Slenderman face? (I think that at page 16 or something I did post my thoughts on that...)

Probably Masky is "emulating" Slenderman's lack of face, rather than just covering it up.

actually this pushes towards the tta is hunting slendy theory, "think like your pray", and would explain alot of the messages like

look closely- meaning watch for slendy
watching you- meaning j is not alone, tta is keeping tabs
see you - as in j's whereabouts are known to slendy
come back - meaning tta wants j to return, to be bait
found you - he found slendy, or at least lured him out, because its quite possible that slendy is in the room blocked by the red shelf

its also possible that bleed more is a request to j, slendy is attracted to blood maybe and can't slendy get you if he can't see your face

all just a few thoughts, but just like everyone else, is an unproven theory

Okay, so, am I the only one who thinks it would actually be pretty spiff if Slendy turned out to be the one protecting J? I really, really don't think it's going to happen, but so many people have expressed an intense dislike at this possibility that I don't share. I don't know why, but I think it would make a pretty cool plot point. It'd certainly be a nice mindfuck after all this torment. Thoughts? Ideas? Agree? Disagree?

maybe slenderman feeds off life energy which in a way is blood

I still absolutely love this theory. I doubt its actually going to be true, but it would be awesome if it was.

What I'm leaning towards now is that TTA is protecting J from SM.

But I like that theory less. I want Slendy to be the hero.

You're not alone. I like that theory, but I can't see it really panning out with what we have so far. Maybe if some more stuff happened, it could, but so far they're making it seem like Slendy's malevolent. If they, say, made it look like totheark was stalking Alex and Slender Man was trying to protect Alex way back then too, then it'd be more likely.

 		This whole 20 Dollars thing has become sort of a meme, eh?

I'd really like for these guys to just sneak in a little cameo, like, J. would watch more footage for Marble Hornets and like one character in it will say to the other "Oh, dude, I lost my wallet... gimmie 20 dollars?" or like a scene where a character is driving and listening to that song.

Oh no, now that I have said it, it shall not be!
