This video with the restaurant is, I believe, the place where Callahan died, fighting off the Can-Toi, also where he regained the faith he didn't have in 'Salem's Lot. (Picture from the novel below.)
Makes sense, given the quote and the page title "Dixie Pig".

I don't know about that, I've been pretty obsessed with the Dark Tower since I was little. If I found out Mid World was real, who knows WHAT I'd do!

Well done six. This appears to be a new video? I've not seen it yet... But the start date on it is the new one and it says Prev_2 meaning 2nd. Obviously.
Yes, The Dixie Pig was where Jake and Callahan fought the Can-Toi and Low Men.
This may help some people here.

Work your way from "NOVELS" ignore the top grouping. Also you might wanna look into the comics, as well. Although this is mainly [META] stuff about the books themselves as opposed to the "in-world" stuff; wasn't able to find a synopsis or w/e for you guys who aren't 'King/DT' fans.
But there should be a fan site or two out there for The Dark Tower.

OOOh! I'm in! Just in time too. Thanks Irene for giving me the heads up about this.

In the story, Roland is the last living member of a knightly order known as gunslingers and the last of the line of "Arthur Eld", his world's analogue of King Arthur. The world he lives in is quite different from our own, yet it bears striking similarities to it. Politically organized along the lines of a feudal society, it shares technological and social characteristics with the American Old West but is also magical. While the magical aspects are largely gone from Mid-World, some vestiges of them remain, along with the relics of a highly advanced, but long vanished, society. Roland's quest is to find the Dark Tower, a fabled building said to be the nexus of all universes. Roland's world is said to have "moved on", and indeed it appears to be coming apart at the seams — mighty nations have been torn apart by war, entire cities and regions vanish without a trace and time does not flow in an orderly fashion. Even the Sun sometimes rises in the north and sets in the east. As the series opens, Roland's motives, goals and age are unclear, though later installments shed light on these mysteries.
Just a quick and dirty summary of Roland's universe

Checking in.. Checking in...
Also noticed in the Discordia banner at the top of the main Discordia page, the one that says "Discordia, A Dark Tower Online Experience" and has the date and the blood splatter...there are letters (and maybe numbers) in the blood? Didn't see it mentioned. Not sure what it means or if I am reading it right as well.

Well spotted Jenni btw; the letters/numbers seem to say either
or
Obviously 19 would be there, being as they are the Ka-Tet of The Nineteen and Ninety nine.
EDIT:
Also this may help as well, a Wiki of the DT characters

Hey grindboy! (WAVES!) Good to see you!
Cannot wait for this game to start.
I was just reading some of the OOG stuff. In part of the FAQ about Whalen's artwork it says:
These images will be hidden in what we are calling "character orbs" scattered thought the Discordia experience. (Within Discordia, character orbs exists outside the walls of willing suspension of disbelief and are not part of the storyline.) Once a character orb is found, the user will be able to download the hi-resolution image as wallpaper based on a character orb they found. When a user has found all of the orbs in each chapter, they will be able to download hi-resolution files that can be printed and framed as a suite of portraits.
So...at least we know it will be some sort of ARG right? And not just a series of passive videos.

..at least some sort of interactive experience, yes. Good to see some familiar folks around...
In the meantime, I captured the text from the splash screen and highlighted it a bit so it's easier to see... does it mean anything to anyone (other than the 19)?

As I said before it seems to say either NR VP 19 or WR VP 19. Neither of which I can connect w/ TDT series...
Although looking at it now it kind of looks like a sports person (Baseball or soccer player) being called up by the coach "UR UP 19!" lol.
Still waiting for the experience to begin
