Lol. What else do you expect during finals week? Maybe it's unjustified paranoia, but I'm a little uneasy that LWS gave up information so easily...

Ah, forgot it was finals week for a lot of people. My college's finals aren't until next week. Embarassed

And yes, it might seem a little too easy that LWS gave out the information so easily... on the other hand, I can't find any implausible elements about it. It's perfectly reasonable that LWS would want to aid in any efforts to sabotage the IOOP. As for why he'd trust Mark, well, he knows law enforcement doesn't believe any of this, so Mark can't be a government agent... and I have a hunch that the IOOP would know by now that LWS is no longer one of them, so I doubt he's telling Mark anything that the pawns don't already know (and it's not like they don't know where LWS is, or anything).

This is true... I want to know who all of the pawns are. I think one of two things will come of this. Either Lynch is going to end up being the captain, or he's going to be in line with him, a.k.a. a pawn.

New update: A note from the Yellow Pawn (32º), in Cádiz, inviting Meltzer to "look for me there." We still don't know who that is...

And a new message on the radio...

Holy... whoa... THAT message changes things. Shocked Shocked Shocked Give it a listen.

why is LWS the gray pawn if he's so against civilization and utopia? why play when the goal is something he wants nothing to do with?

also wtf how did Mark, a desperate man trying to find his kidnapped daughter, get dragged into an ongoing game made by loony-bin lutwidge? is he still pulling strings from within the hospital? and here i thought Mark was almost to rapture as long as he figured out the box. now he's gotta meet with other 'players'?

here's the player positions as they were announced. Since Mark is the White Pawn we can only assume Gray Pawn is in a space near him. Red Pawn isn't listed with a position so this must mean he's mid-turn. i have no idea what any of this could mean.

Wait how do we know Mark is the white pawn I thought he was the Seeker?

The thing I love about SITS is you never know what to expect. 2K has put some serious work into this story and it keeps getting better and better.

Also, on a side note, I GOT A POSTCARD! W00t! Ok, sorry...

Mark did say "Seward is not the cold cynic he likes to play." I think there's a little more to him than the interviewer realized.

We know how, we've been watching it happen.

Mark is the white pawn?

That's my interpretation too. Although if Mark is the White Pawn how is it that the Grey Pawn brought in a new player? Wouldn't the White Pawn already be a player?

EDIT: Someone posted this over on 2K and it makes a lot of sense to me:

Mr. Ryan wrote:
I think Mark is supposed to be considered the Knight. I'm getting this from Lutwidge's line, "Only a knight can cross the board, and there are none left but pawns." from the recording at the asylum. Going by that, it sounds like the pawns are supposed to help Mark aka the Seeker aka the Knight reach Rapture, and maybe they believe he will bring them with him? Just a thought.

What do you guys think? Maybe Mark is referred to as a new player because he is a new player, the knight, finally taking the board so to speak?

By the way... did that voice giving the order to the pawns via radio sound familiar? Shocked

It couldn't be, could it?

If you're thinking Roget, I had the very same thought.

Doesn't quite sound like her to me, but I'm not sure, I will have to listen to her old messages again...it's been awhile since she called... Laughing

Ah, good point... and we know for a fact that she's still alive. It certainly makes more sense than Celeste would... although I don't know why she'd be that much more interested in orchestrating events like this. Maybe she's cooking up some plot against Sophia Lamb?

Hmm... no update tonight?

EDIT: Never mind, I emptied my caché and tried again... there it was.

Wow, he met the Yellow Pawn already. Things are speeding up...

Coffee beans

Maybe its just me, and I am sure it is...but as we learned in Beverly Hills Cop, drugs are often trasported in Coffee beans. Granted this is before anyone thought of that possibly...but I dont believe they would randomly mention something about part of the cargo. I am quite paranoid though...
