*scratches head* Can anyone else see some text in that cap? I mean beside the google marks.

I'm playing around with it in OC, but a) I'm no good at it and b) it's 6:AM over here, mind's all fuzzy. Oh, and c) it wouldn't make any sense at all if there was something hidden in a damn google earth cap.

Typical paranoia, I guess.

Found it:
33°20'54.46"N
86°43'38.61"W

Had to bribe a tall man in a suit with tasty little children, but he told me where it was.

You know, it's entirely possible J just looked for something that looked like a tower in a random state and said "okay, I'll show them this one".

If I were worried about game jackers, that's what I'd do. I mean, he could be in Canada for all we know.

Possible, I guess - but it would be way more fun to set it up like that. Someone WILL drive out to take a look. Cap on camera, add distortion, put it up on TTA's account with a title like "next victim" or something along those lines.

Would be awesome x)

So, Slenderman lives in Alabama? No one's slender in the South.

Now I'm just waiting for some 'Sweet Home Alabama' parodies.

A bit of risky business, putting up a pic of it from satellite map. I really hope some retards don't go down there and mess it up while they're filming. The last thing we need is no more Entries at this point.

Hey! You! Yeah, you! The one reading this and thinking about going to check it out. Don't you dare.

I will of course promptly salt, then eat my words if they make it an event somehow. Of course, J'd have to give more information for that to happen; I'm sure he wasn't expecting us to find it based on that screenshot.

EDIT: Sweet Home Alabama? I love that song! =P

Even if there was some dickhead living anywhere near there who wanted to go that far out of their way to mess with some ARG, It'd be awfully hard for them to pin down the timing to show up while the marblehornets folks are there... I think you guys are being a little bit overly worried about nothing.

If someone's enough of a psycho to camp out by that red thing and wait for the MH guys to show up, then I doubt they're able to hold down a job long enough to afford an internet connection anyway.

Out of curiosity I browsed the MH location that was posted. It doesn't reveal much. There isn't even street view at that road nearby the tower thing. The only other semi-recognizable outdoors location is the building in entry 13, and I couldn't find that either (though I didn't look long I'll admit). So I highly doubt doing anything further with the location information other than what J gave us will do any good.

Let's be honest. If it turned out this whole thing was being shot right down the street from you, wouldn't you be tempted to scope it out a little? I've gotten my siblings and a couple of friends into this, and I know personally if it turned out to be anywhere reasonably near Va Beach I'd grab some of them and head over. At night, with flashlights. Just like J Smile

So I'm glad they're keeping it under wraps, not because I think we'll screw up a shoot or anything, but because it'd ruin the mystery a bit.

If I lived anywhere near the area, I'd likely take a peek down there just for shits, giggles and photos, but I'd not want to mess up the filming if the people were there.

Though I'd probably go and shake some hands and ask for autographs.

But considering I live nowhere near Alabama and I don't just go for ten hour drives all the time, I'd have to have you guys with me.

And we could camp out and wait for the MH team to show.

We'd bring our guns and call ourselves J's army.

And J would be so happy to see us 'cause we could dispatch that pesky ol' TTA once and for all. =D

I love happy endings.

Probably gonna be my first trout, but I'm too lazy to read the trailhead. Anyway, found this on the original SM thread at SA:

"a strange creeper or vine or spiderthing which is just trying to look like a person as a form of camouflage. The impersonation is imperfect, though, so he falls right in the uncanny valley. He can be killed, and what's left just looks like rotten wood, but... well, another one grows to take his place. This means he can be seen anywhere plants grow, especially forests and jungles, and anywhere in time because he can live to be very old and the spores are very old and travel on the wind and stuff, and a bullet will snap off a thin branch but nothing else, and an axe to the neck will just get lodged and make him irritable and shriek at you, and if he touches you you get a rash or sting like poison ivy, and he appears in old nursery rhymes to frighten children out of running away from home, and there's only one or two Walking Men at any given time, but maybe there's a whole grove of Still Men planted somewhere, and fire is your best weapon which is why he only comes out when it's foggy or stormy..."

I guess that this could provide some new theories as to TTA's "water" theme? Since one kind of ark is basically a big boat, perhaps his name could mean "away from Slender Man".
