It might be important to note that Solomon fell from God's good graces before the end of his reign. If my memory serves, many interpretations of Bible verse suggest his taking of a non-Israelite wife and practice of Slavery (with Israelite slaves) was a no-no.

The book is called - (from my online research) - The Carnal Myth. The quote seems to come from ch. 2. It came out in 1968

I think the only clue to get out of the Bible verse was the numbers--72:5. Dancer has already shown us that those relate to the stars, and Skye's post does tell us to not lose sight of the stars. I think we're looking for the next keyword to plug into thisisnotthepath.com/. I've tried various things but haven't come up with much--there's something about the shape of the pentagon, having five sides and all, correlating with 72, but I don't really understand scientific explanations.

Also, 72 seems to play a role in the Mayan 2012 predictions and so on. I'm currently trying to look that up--but you can help, too. Smile

And obviously, there has something to do with the Justice and Luneacy. Keep looking.

Oh, and Matt, if you really want to know for sure, I suggest PMing Ryan. He's the brains behind this operation, after all.

Hmm. The whole star/shape thing got me thinking about Venus- it appears to move in a sort of pentagram-ic path across the night sky, and is also called the morning and/or evening star, but nothing yet, so far.

The zodiac sign for the author is Cancer!

Wasn't the cover for Vector a "cancer treatment" trial?

So, just like we had to know a story element of the movie "The Fugitive" maybe we should familiarize ourselves with "The Carnal Myth." What's it even about? I'm trying to find some information, but so far not much luck. I know it was the sequel to "The Sorrows of Priapus."

more confusion

to add to all this there is such a thing as 'sun in cancer-moon in libra' (astrology-wise) I wish I knew more about astrology to know what that means

I'm having a time finding out what his book is about as well.

In astrology, I believe you have two astrological signs.

The first, "The Sun sign" is what most people know. But apparently, you also have a moon sign.

Given all the talk of sun and moon in this clue, maybe the password is a two word zodiac combination.

Someone can check my work, but I got Taurus for the author's moon sign using this website.

http://www.astrosage.com/moonSign.asp

Also, I'm not sure that "justice" is a clue, since perhaps the entire line from the book is probably a clue to get to the author, or perhaps some aspect about the book. Just like in the fugitive clue, there was nothing significant about a word within the movie quote; it was just there to get us thinking about the movie.

I tried CancerTaurus, but no luck. Maybe I did it wrong, or we're barking up the wrong tree.

Since (I can't find anything) nothing can be found on carnal myth without having to buy it out right, I'm thinking that it is a moot point

Skye, Sun, Moon, Stars, Justice, Lunacy

72:5
could refer to

A quintile is a 72 degree aspect. It's based on '5.' If you divide 360 by 5 you get 72

The mayan calender

Carnal Myth may be refering to the creation story

If he was born July 22 then he would be a cancer on the cusp - Leo being the next sign

funny - cancer (the crab) is ruled by the moon and Leo (the lion) is ruled by the sun

I put in the () because that's how it comes out in my head - not that anyone else wouldn't know that...

Ok, so "Cancer" definitely seems to be significant. Several things point to it. The Moon being it's ruling planet, the Author's birthday, and the Vector cover-up.

"leo" is a possibility with the ruling planet being the Sun.

"Taurus" is another possibility as it's the Author's "moon sign."
Another thing about Taurus is it's ruling planet is Venus, which get this...

Venus is also the ruling planet of Libra! Hmm...
Which brings us back to Venus being associated with the pentagram.

Might be a coincidence, but Edward Dahlberg wrote an autobiography called "because I was flesh" where he uses the word Venus a lot.

I don't have the book. Just working off of google books.

You're making major headway, guys.

Okay, just thinking about Seigfried's last post--he said, "--We're talking potential genocides."

And all this talk about Cancer directly relates to /VECTOR_PROJECT. The vector project was to supposedly treat cancer patients.

And... what do we REALLY know about Vector, anyway? Why is it always IN CAPS? Does it stand for something? To be quite honest, I don't actually know what the word "vector" means. I just looked up the definition. First, it's a mathematical term. Another of it's meanings is actually kind of chilling...

"an organism, typically a biting insect or tick, that transmits a disease or parasite from one animal or plant to another."

In /VECTOR_PROJECT, it says, "It is critical to keep subjects pools free fo cross-contaminatio..." [sic]

Vector...what does it mean...? Why did the Sect name it VECTOR, of all things?

I'm seeing connections here, but it still doesn't all fit into place quite yet.

Well, as you said, a vector is a math term, but it's also used to "describe the direction or course followed by an airplane, missile, or the like" (Dictonary.com). Whenever I hear it, I always think of the "path" of something. Maybe it's just because the "Path" is such a big part of the Sect teachings?
