Book 8 location...

Given the synopsis i would have to say China...the Terra Cotta army...the greatest soldiers to guard the first emperor of China. The Terra Cotta army is made up of thousands of soldiers.
Just a guess,

Lucian Agent #40

maybe the clue is gunpowder?

  • The Terracotta Army does number in the thousands (over 8,000 soldiers).
  • Gunpowder was discovered by Chinese alchemists looking for the elixir of life.
  • The synopsis mentions "explosive."
  • Gunpowder would explain all these fires surrounding the 39 clues (Gideon, Hope & Arthur, Tesla)

And "book code"? You know the rare Janus one.
And something from cardpack 3 or 4.

Book 8 Location...

It might also take place in England. They conquered (at one point) most of the world (including Australia, South Africa, & Canada).

Yes, Yes, and Yes, I agree with that, the Terra-Cotta warriors fit it perfectly, and China's first emperor's tomb has never been seen. (Not by any normal person Wink ).
Though from the tales I've heard the first emperor had his tomb built with 'Rivers of liquid Mercury', so Mercury could also be this clue.
Though Mercury has popped up a few times in the series.

Sorry, a little late on this.

Is it a little weird that the cover of the 6th book was an airplane underwater, I don't remember them even going near an underwater airplane (Although Earhart's was sank).

Plus!!!!!! Cereal! In January! A contest in NY!

I've been thinking the same thing, In all the other books the actually did something to do with the cover.

Anyway does anyone else have ny ideas of future clues, other than the book clues?

No!!! There's a contest if you win a prize in cereal, I hope it comes with cards. 4 winners and their families go to NY for free and get to go in a clue hunt for a mystery prize!!!
Am I the only one who pays attention to this stuff? Nah, there's gotta be someone else who knew about that.... right???

New email

The email in from the Lucian leader in the inbox

From: Vikram Kabra

Tesla Movie
Lucians—
Cora Wizard, the head of the Janus branch, is producing some movie about the famous inventor, Nikola Tesla. We're sure it has something to do with a lost Ekaterina Clue. I'm ordering all agents to head to the Hollywood movie set to investigate. To avoid suspicion, you must pretend to be a Janus. It shouldn't be that difficult. Wear an ugly shirt with strange patterns on it, and drip some paint on your shoes. No one will ever know.

I want to have some good news for Isabel when she gets back from Indonesia, so you better not disappoint me.

Some may see this as betraying my branch, but his IS for my branch. What is good for Kabra doesnt mean good for Lucian. They are nothing but power-hungry egomaniacs

New Tomas Email
The Holts are an imbarasment to the Tomas, WE ARE SMART AND NOT DIMWITS! lol

From: Ivan Kleister
The Holts . . . again

The Holts are at it again. I just got an e-mail from Reagan. I can't take this anymore. Can one of our REAL agents please get on this?

To: Ivan Kleister
From: Reagan Holt
Re: The Holts are not in Croatia

Hi Ivan!
This is Reagan. Remember me?! I kicked you in the shin during the branch soccer game last year. It was an accident, though. Honest.

Anyway, if you're looking for us next week, don't send anyone to Croatia. Cause that's NOT where we're going to be. Nope. We're not breaking protocol again and going off to find a Clue on our own. And even if we were (which we aren't), it definitely wouldn't be in Croatia.

Ok that's all!

Reagan

Ekats mail

From: Bae Oh
Tesla and Edison

Dear Ekats,
Throughout our noble history, Ekaterina agents have worked together in perfect harmony. . . for the most part. There are some notable exceptions, such as the famous feud between inventors Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla. Each was obsessed with becoming the first to find a lost Ekat Clue. We believe one of them succeeded, but we're not sure who.

Somehow, the Janus stumbled onto a lead. They were probably doing some bizarre modern dance and accidentally tripped over a piece of evidence.

Regardless of how they found it, the fact remains that Janus agents are on the move, and the other branches won't be far behind. This is OUR Clue, so we HAVE to be the first to find it. You'll be receiving instructions shortly.

- Bae

By far the best e-mail
Janus Mail

From: Leslie D. Mill
Tesla movie

Fellow Janus,

As many of you know, I'm directing a film about the inventor Nikola Tesla. Principal photography begins next week. It is CRUCIAL that no Lucians, Tomas, or Ekats get anywhere near the set. The information I discovered about Telsa will give the Janus the edge we need to find . . . anything Tesla might have hidden. It must not fall into the wrong hands.

Cora Wizard wants all available agents in the Hollywood area to come serve as guards on the film set. Just try to stay out of the way. The artistic process waits for no one. I won't have anyone interfering with my cinematic masterpiece. I see awards in my future. Gold statuettes! A star on the Walk of Fame!! So don't distract me. Don't speak to me. In fact, try not to look at me. MY GENIUS WILL NOT BE STOPPED!!!

Sorry, I got a little carried away there. Come help if you can. And everyone needs to be on call next week, in case Cora needs to send agents into the field.

Leslie
