The end of standard_procedure is puzzling me. It sounds like the memory is a little screwy...either that or she's just pausing and not bothering to say name, but that doesn't seem likely. I can't begin to speculate what's going on here, or when this takes place in relation to Jan's earlier story.
Well remember, this cop is good at what he does. I don't think it's that he doesn't remember who she is, but he is starting to take a statement. He wants her to say her name for the official record. He is bascially telling her that it doesn't matter if he knows her from another incident, she will get no leeway. I also think he is probably not going to write out her statement, he probably produced a recording device. "Name."
He's all business, and it sets her off balance. I think that is probably exactly what he was going for.
Edit: misquoted the cop

Standard_procedure
<start-up noise>
<background chatter>
<Radio beep>
Cop: This is Fox-Nine-Seven-Seven, requesting an ambulance [at] this location. One citizen.
<Garbled radio transmission>
Cop: No. I-I'm OK. Send uniforms for crowd control though.
<Garbled radio transmission>
Cop: Just a traffic stop. He drew a weapon.
<background woman: He ain't never walked that fast>
<Garbled radio trans.>
Cop: Yeah. We'll need the scene team. But you can tell the ambulance crew their client is DRT.
<Garbled radio trans.>
<Radio beep>
Cop: Miss, don't go anywhere. We'll need you to give a statement on a lie detector about what you saw. All standard procedure.
Jan: Y-You just…
Cop: Name?
Jan: You know my…Janissary James
<end>

I think standard_procedure comes right before "accessorize" - it's the same guy talking to her about her taste in clothing before he tries to get her to come with him somewhere.

Who thinks J^2 is dead? Jan doesn't seem hysterical, but they were placed in a vehicle together in the other clips.

I took Google for a test drive on the acronym "DRT."
One of the possible matches for it could be "Dead Right There," as in, killed where he was sitting. If that's the case, then I vote for one dead J^2.
[EDIT] Even spookier, its a Naval acronym that's currently in use today.

That's what it sounds like to me. Kind of makes you wonder if it was really James James who set the police station on fire. Jan's abilities make her seem like the sort of you you oughtn't make angry and if they take her back to the police station after killing her dad... well, I think they're lucky one cop survived to report the emergency.

It does say "One civilian" though, wouldn't it say "one military personnel" or something if it was J^2?
[Edit] ps it says citizen, not civilian.

No one is supposed to know that J^2 is military personnel. They're kind of hiding out.

Not necessarily. J^2 is lint. The average beat-cop may not know a thing about him.

I don't have the software to do this, but is anyone trying to determine what the background voices are saying? That could be important.
And when she says, "You Just..." it sounds like she is shocked by what he just did. As if he just killed someone. I think this comes about when she is first caught by the cops/MP's. But we have quite a few more files to get, don't we?

If someone was killed during that incident we probably would have heard about it.

It is inbetween "Just a traffic stop" and "He drew a weapon" that I hear a woman with a southern accent saying, "He ain't never walked that fast."

Yeah, the yelling sounds pretty interesting, but I can't get much out of these work speakers.

That cop sounds awfully familiar to the one that gave Jan her PQI. And it also seems that Jan knows who he is too. Has anyone else compared the old wavs with this yet? I'm pretty sure its the same cop.

It's the same cop. That's why he knows her name. There's also another wav in this list of axons curiously titled 'good_at_my_job', but didn't he already give her a little speech like that?
