I have the answer. I am sorry I took so long to share it, but my fever reached 103.9 last night, so I was kind of busy in an ice bath etc. This is the email I received from HA last night. The image reminds me of a time card almost.

It is the names of the pages that have errors, I believe.

Wow. We've been overthinking a lot on this, lol.

It does look like a timecard. Or one of those secret message decoder things you could get as a prize cereal when I was little. Hold it up to the back of the box and it would show you the secret message.

Way over thinking. Secret message decoder was my second thought. What if we make it the size of a printed page and try it on every hatshoe page?

I was thinking of doing that, but I had to weigh my options: using tons of black ink for Hatshoe, or having enough black ink for my job. As tempting as it is, my job will have to win this one out! But it's worth a shot if anyone wants to try it. I can't think of anything else it could be, really.

I am quarantined to bed so I have no printer access.

Well, now

makes a helluva lot more sense.

I'll bite the bullet and print it out at the library later this afternoon. I also emailed Hat Shoe and told him we found this, so he doesn't lose hope in us.

as opposed to wasting that much ink why doesn't someone just do it on photoshop or gimp or something. erase out the holes and make it the top layer with his pages as background. I don't have either of those programs, but in my commtech class im currently working with photoshop and it wouldn't be hard.

I know for a fact you can put a picture on top of a picture on photoshop, but unfortunately I have no idea how to do that. Unless it can be done in iphoto, I'm of no use to you there. I might be able to get one of my friends to do it though.

I actually started to do it with GIMP, but realized I have no idea how to make the white spaces transparent. I have a few hours before work to keep mucking around with it.

Edit: I figured it out and am working on it.

Edit 2: I've been through them all and gotten nothing. "Tan" and "X-com" don't have associated jpgs, so I tried to screen print, which didn't work very well. Some of the pages would have a letter or two here and there, but I think that's because HS has tiny cursive handwriting.

There are seven holes in the mask. There are also seven pages in the file name. Take each in page in turn in the order given and use the holes in the mask sequentially from left to right, top to bottom to extract letters.

This gives "evidence," and if you go to evidence.html, there is a video waiting for you.

sweet. I guess that means that there will be other videos. We have a channel now (Wearerofthehat) so we won't need to go through that painful process looking for more videos again

Also, before any time is wasted on trying to figure out how we could have gotten to StationBreathingCastlesChestHairDoorUnlockInternetLove.jpg, this image and evidence.jpg were created/scanned only yesterday, and the video was only uploaded yesterday. I don't think anything actually hinted at this.

inb4 wearerofthehatSPLATlive.com does not exist

Awesome work, guys. What do we think the video means, and is it hinting at anything? It seems pretty clear the "evidence" is of a power of some sort-- psychokinesis?

ETA: are we any closer on figuring out the live account? I still think it has to do with Kur(d)t Cobain.

I'll admit it. I was hoping the video was someone spying on Carl. I saw the fence and thought of Tim and his neighbor from "Home Improvement". But yeah, it would appear that someone (HS?) has some sort of psychic power. The video looked really choppy, especially the first few seconds. Has anyone downloaded it and check for clues in the blank parts? I don't have any programs to do that.

I've tried all spellings, including all of HS's mispellings.
kurtdcobainSPLATlive.com - active account
kurdtdcobain - does not exist
kurtcobaine - does not exist
kurdtcobain - does not exist
kurdtdcobaine - does not exist

Have we ever really decided what the password is, once we figure out the address?

Edit: Rewatching the video, if we go back to the color theory, maybe "blue" is the first. Which would bring us to red or green being the "missing of the three" for the @live.com account.
