Edit: Annabel Cardui died December 11, 1999 -- 10 years ago. Note says "miss you mum". Also looks like her dad passed away the same year she was born.

Tweet says she thinks she was being followed. Safe to assume she -is- the RQ, and that Vlad is stalking her, for what ever reason. She brings up '10 years ago' often - it seems like that's got to be it. I think if we find out how her mother died, it would provide hints to why her uncle wants her to know all of this information. She doesn't seem the type to grasp all this sort of stuff easily - as proof with not being so great with computers - so he wants her new trusted friends to help her decode it. I assume he doesn't have much time left or he would help.
Vlad must be either part of the problem that caused her mother's death, or wants something from the family?

Just my take on it.

I'm not sure what Vlad's connection is to everyone. I've sent messages to Claire and Vanessa both, asking if either of them know him personally. I also warned Vanessa that Vlad seems a little off. I'm wondering why Vlad singled out diznah (Jane Doh) to communicate with on FB. Claire came to me, but I'm not sure why either.

I agree that Vanessa seems a little flighty, lol. I also agree that's probably why her uncle is insisting her online friends help. I asked her once what her uncle's illness is, thinking it would lead us somewhere, but she completely ignored the question. I may try again another time, when she might be more comfortable answering it. Hopefully she'll get that stuff scanned in soon. I'm interested in seeing these "maths problems".

Oh yeah, you should stay for this one. Vlad has already established a chess connection, although I'm not sure why he keeps saying "Red Queen". The only "Red Queen" I know of is from Through the Looking Glass.

@dawndilion Yes, I'm also wondering why he sought me out. I was trying to see if he was a gamejack for most of our messages because I seemed to be his only friend at the time, but Vanessa saying things at appropriate times sold me it was legit. Probably just a PM I might know poking at me to get me to play.

Honestly I have no idea what's going on. To me Vanessa is a bit of a flake <3

As for the chess stuff, I haven't played in a long time, but I just sent him a move. I'm hoping to at least get a game of chess out of this.

Chess? Yes, but not recently. Won several trophies and money in my youth.

As for ARGs, just consider me a very high profile lurker. I pop in now and then as needed, but don't have the time for a long term investment in playing. Besides, nobody around here wants me to spend all my time playing... Wink

everything seems to be english rather than american so far though having a look at the family tree, there was something american in it. perhaps mum or dad born there i think - est is eastern standard time yeah? sorry got rsi at moment and off work - trying not to use computer to type...

why did you call him Volodya?

anyhow - wondering about how wh is talking to which character and whether that has an effect on the ARG? I know on breathe that I worked as a 'double agent for a bit but some characters trusted more in some than others due to people making contact etc. Could this be same - disz commented about only one being made contact with [oddly enough at same time I invited her about this as had worked with her on breathe and she helped with latin!]
i've only added V on twitter - none on FB yet. are there sides forming then?
edit: just read about the H4 watch - think thats at the nmm, remember seeing it [i love pocket watches - esp since doctor who!!!]

I don't know. Claire came to me and friended me. Not sure if she sought out anyone else on FB or if it was just me. It certainly seems like sides are forming. I tried messaging Vlad on FB yesterday and he ignored me, which isn't surprising. Been messaging Claire and Vanessa off and on, but no response yet. Vanessa's updated her twitter -- basically the same info as her FB - she needs a scanner.

lol I sent her a reply earlier telling her to just get both!

I got an FB message from her, too. I actually share some common ground with Vanessa. My mom passed away when I was in my 20s, so I'm trying to build some rapport with her using that. I also sent her a DM on Twitter earlier, telling her to watch out for Vlad, since he seems a little "off".
