Bah, I tried using my dad's electric guitar tuner to pick the notes, but I can't get consistent readings off it. Best of luck guys, it's high time I hit the hay.

I think I figured the notes out (with the help of my musically talented mom.)

So the 4 notes would be GECA. I used the the order of the files, I'm not sure if order matters though. Order from top to bottom is ACEG (this is also alphabetical)
Order from highest to lowest AGEC
C is middle C (C4) and the lowest one. They are all in octave 4. Octaves are measured starting at C.
I'm going to send in this image to Bradford Rant. Maybe I can get credited on the site!

Just a quick point. The letters can also be used to spell out CAGE, or includeing the "D", CAGED.

And wassn't there talk in the last pilot message about something breaking its cage?

I am wondering, should I go to pod 4? Chicago is 3 hours away. I don't want to look weird by coming so late. With the new system (not telling beforehand) I would probably not have much chance of getting a pod. I still wonder how long it took someone to get the 3rd one. Would I still get a shirt and beta key for coming so late? Is the shirt a B.R.I.C.K. shirt or just a generic LEGO one? There are 4 LEGO things in the Chicago area, one is a discovery center.

Nice work bugefun!! Impressive work indeed. And if you are close to one of the places then by all means go for the pod. From the look of things the shirt is a BRICK shirt and you still get a chance at a beta key I believe. Either way the shirt is some nice swag IMHO.

Just checked and that fifth note bugefun found is used in the German version of the puzzle (makes sense since their letters spell out the message in a different language). And for some reason the four "buttons" are in different locations too.

If anyone's interested, the four German letters (based on what bugefun has posted) are ACED.

Nope, that one's all mine. Was looking at the text, not what I was writing, so that one slipped through.

Was referring to the line"Its minions swoop down and begin destroying everything in site.", which I believe should be "It's minions swoop down and begin destroying everything in sight."
