It's means "it is," its refer to possession. Trust me, I'm a Grammar Nazi. "Its minions" is the proper form.

Ah, my bad, I was confused by apostrophes normally indicating possessives. I was not aware of its being a special case. Do you at least agree with the site/sight thing? Razz

Yep. They are wrong there. If they actually meant site, it would have to say "at the site."

I am wondering, should I go to pod 4? Chicago is 3 hours away. I don't want to look weird by coming so late. With the new system (not telling beforehand) I would probably not have much chance of getting a pod. I still wonder how long it took someone to get the 3rd one. Would I still get a shirt and beta key for coming so late? Is the shirt a B.R.I.C.K. shirt or just a generic LEGO one? There are 4 LEGO things in the Chicago area, one is a discovery center.

The Pod is landing this Friday. If you have the time, go for it!

There's a new video up with analysis of pod 2!

Between the 3:01 and 3:07 mark there's a poster up in the background that you can kind of see part of. The writing on it seems to say:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
… respond to being
...filled them jeans" and
...eggaton music
...reward 50 free mp3's thru itunes

It seems to be a lost pet poster, apparently for an animal that will respond to being played "filled them jeans" (closest match I could find is "Dem Jeans" by Chingy) and Reggaeton music, with a reward of 50 free mp3s through iTunes.

ROCK AGAINST
THE CHAOS!

Tonight only, we leave the evil and infected
masses behind and celebrate the joys of
creativity. Starring DJ Figster with his

jazz, cool punk, psychedelic, shoegaze, prog,
soul and brick-hop. And featuring his number one
dancefloor hit 'Confusion'. Attendees are
advised to bring an extra pair of legs.

Free entry!
Show starts 9PM.
Don't miss it!

Pod data is up! (finally!)

I wonder if something will happen on this side of the dimensional gap at 9PM. And what kind of 9PM it is. Man, I have to take my laptop to my niece's birthday tonight. ^^

As for letters, I'm not spotting them, but one could argue, 4 paragraphs of text gives 4 starting letters.

Edit: Oh, duh, nvm. The lamps behind the star outline text.

I've been hearing speculation that there might be a party at 9pm after the next pod. The thing that makes me a bit unsure about this interpretation is that I would think Lego would want to make it a lot more clear if there is a party, so make sure enough people have a chance to show up. Don't want too cryptic an 'invitation.'

Any thoughts on that?

I kind of wondered given the concert poster we just decoded but the actual content of the message made it appear to be a concert on whatever planet the astronaut was originally from. I do agree that if LEGO were to throw a party that they would make it more obvious as the whole point of the party, I'm assuming, would be to get a big turn out and get the public pumped for the product (i.e. LEGO Universe, and to a lesser extent, the LEGO brand itself). At least, I would hope that were the case, but who knows...

Originally, I hoped for some sort of beta event at 9PM on the day the Pod 3 data went live. That did not happen (as far as I know)

I think it simply represents an ingame concert at 9PM on certain days, which is corroborated by the fact that the poster shows something clearly ingame, with a quest giver and several quick build stations (most likely the objective of the quest, build the instruments to start the concert)

Except that they have provided the day and time for POD 4...

and why say POD 3 with a time of 9pm? seems like they could have the message without the time for that effect.

It seems as if they removed that video, edited, and re-uploaded it. The old one had the url of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ifbDW7PMc0
And the new one is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymt09AfNOS4
There are still posters, but not that specific one at that time. Did you notice any large changes from the original one?

This second video did not have any beeps (that I heard) unlike the first, which I am more suspicions now might have a meaning.

I will go! But I'll have to cancel a few things...
There are four stores in that area... One is considered in actual Chicago, and a different one is a discovery center (mini LEGO Land).
I'm not sure what to do. I could scout them all and see which one looks suspicious, or wait about right in the middle for it to land. They aren't extremely close to each other. Like 40 minutes apart. It would take me 5 hours to visit them all! 3.5 is from the ride to the first one. Maybe, if I called the LEGO stores, they would drop a clue... What if I called right when one lands and yell pod 4? Laughing
(Maybe I shouldn't be saying this because Bradford Rant might read this and specifically instruct them not to give clues...)

Hopefully they will give some more exact coords before Friday but they seem to be changing things up with each pod so they might not. At the very least you should be able to get a tee and a chance to sign up for the Beta. If those are enough reasons for you I say go for it, just realize there will be a lot of people going after the pod with you. Look for the display with the black cloth over it, and stay close!

The poster was still there, and I didn't notice any differences from the original version of the video, at least visually (I was listening without headphones). There was a note on the table in both versions, I did my best to make out what it said. I'm pretty sure it was just "Pod 2 found in Orlando by Alan Nilsson, Pod 3 found in Houston by William". Nothing new there. There was something else written on the paper though, with a different pen, but the angle and picture quality made it illegible. The first word might be "code"? Hard to say. I doubt it was something we were "meant" to see, or the camera would have zoomed in on it more.

No purchase is necessary to participate in or win a prize in the Bradford Rant Institute of Cosmic Kinesis "Find a Pod" Events.

I guess that this means that if the pod appears at the discovery center, it would be in the store part, not the actual part, because that requires an admission fee. Obviously, the first pod was not following that rule.

I wonder what the real reason behind the video being taken down was...

Oh, and third pod examination is out.

I was talking to Bradford Rant (email) and he asked if I knew what the symbols on the minifig pilot uniform mean. I told him the one on the pod 3 pilot is a penrose triangle (the others had been eagles). He said they couldn't make any headway on the shape. In the third pod video, they talk about the impossible figure and the shape below it, which was on the old minifigs and the first pod data, and said they don't understand them.

Not sure if you have seen this yet, but the POD 2 landing was reported by Brick Journal. You may be familiar with the reporters:
