Chrizzy, you still owe me back that towel from when I first posted JJ's plans on Cloverfield 2.
Are you sure you want it back? It's been pretty well-used. I can wash it for you if you want.
On second thought, keep it, I'll bill JJ for it.

I remember from our last run alot of the first pics leaked off the set of Cloverfield were of the apartment and party scene and JJ Abrams were in many of the pictures. They were at the preproduction stage of creating the movie with this movie being unique and the trailer filmed first to create the hype with finished CG Shots. I'm thinking since so many of the sites say he's in Europe working on it they must be filming the bad ass teaser right now... He was just the producer so he stopped in now and then but was there for the teaser and party shots...

JJ and co have said that they wouldn't be doing a Cloverfield sequel using the same handheld style as the original.
So, given the purported $25m budget...I find it highly unlikely that this has anything to do with Cloverfield.

So it can't be Cloverfield 2 just because of the budget? I don't get it...

I believe that Some Thing didnīt mean that it canīt be , just that it isnīt likely.
But , who knows?

Of course, just because the budget's the same as Cloverfield, it doesn't necessarily indicate that it would have to be filmed in the same way. If that were the case, then, no matter what movie this is, it would have to be filmed with the handheld, unless it's just about two dudes roaming through the forest for 90 minutes talking to eachother about curtains, with no CGI whatsoever. So, I don't think the budget means much, other than it's not some huge, epic production like Avatar.
And, that's also assuming the reported budget's correct. Maybe it's misinformation. Maybe it's missing a 0. Who knows.

Maybe the 25M price is to keep the movie "along the lines" of the original. If they gave JJ 100M you could end up with the Blair Witch Project 2.

I guess with this, we finally get a clue of what JJ's new project might really be. Anyone remember this from the good ol days?
"What's J.J. Abrams' Next Mystery Project?"

Still got 10 days. Let's hope, and keep our fingers and toes crossed...and I know it's a long time to keep my eyes crossed, but I'm doing it.

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas!!
It's hard to believe that, in just 3 weeks and 2 days, it'll have been 2 years since Rob got that Vice-President position in Japan, since the Statue of Liberty lost her head, since Marlena went AHH! POP! SPLAT!, and since our lovable camera guy got Hud-munched all to bits. What a wait...
