I also disrespectfully disagree with Gethenian's verbose dissection of the fake cover. There is very LITTLE about this cover that is good, from a design perspective. None of it is even remotely what a book cover looks like to me. If I were the publisher or even the author of this book, I would get that design artist fired.

I personally still find it hilarious that SF here thought she could fool us into thinking this was real. I think it was the generally teen aged argument of "FINE DON'T BELIEVE ME, YOU JERKS, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE MISSING!" that made it. Newsflash - not everyone here is 15 years old and gullible. Nobody likes a person that tries too hard.

I've been pretty good about being quiet about SF's attempted gamejacking (Having only registered recently, coming out of lurker mode), the way they (I'm assuming she?) seem to try and seek attention from this forum, of all places on the internet and world, just to try and look cool just grates on me. It reminds me of when I was 14 years old, and would do ANYTHING for attention, even negative attention.

I know that this probably will go down in Slender Freak's memory as a footnote, but assuming she is in her teens (and she is, in fact, a she?) I know she'll look back on her general behavior in ten years and wonder how she thought she'd fool people into thinking some of the things she made up. She'll say to herself, "Was this REALLY that great of a lie that I thought I could fool someone?" and shake her head in sheepish amusement and self-embarrassment.

And that's what makes this thread particularly beautiful for me. Very Happy

ETA: I think I'll redesign the book cover and make it plausible.♠

The funny thing is that he didn't make that. However, in the first Slender Man thread on Facepunch it was posted, which I assume was either made by a member there or on SA.

um for one i didn't make it it. I was just dumb enough to take it from someplace and post it up here. If i was gonna make a cover I would have made it look much better and I am an excellent speller. You guys really need to get your stuff straight, because I'm 18 I live in California and I am currently going to chaffey college.

edit: In short I'm not some 12 year old seeking attention

The only funny part about this thread was the reference to Glen Coco.

Four for you, Six.

You go, Six ;D

Just to clarify with everyone I was dumb enough to believe someone else's bullshit and post, get my dreams and hopes all worked up, and get humiliated. So can you all forgive me for being completely gullible. I already received your criticism so i don't want anything further to do with this thread.

I just feel really let down and dissappointed Crying or Very sad

Actually, I've been working on that for about an hour now. This thread has potential, but it really should be merged with the images of SM thread. The idea to make fake books is a pretty decent one.

See now THAT looks real too! In all fairness, before the typos were pointed out, I thought the first one was real. I'm no expert on book cover design. But I'd like to think that people wouldn't want to participate in a book where their "testiomonies" were going to be given about "a urban legend" written by an orthopedic surgeon.

Sorry, Slenderfreak, but how old are you?

From this and other topics, you appear to be one of the most gullible person I've ever seen on the internet.

Not trying to be a dick, but Curiously High's cover doesnt impress me. Personally, I enjoy the cover design idea, but it needs much work. I feel like an actual photo of someone's tie would do much better in its place. -insert rant about font and size bullshit here-

Threadfail. Very Happy

...What the fuck?

Slenderfreak, stop trying to be a troll or a dickbag or whatever the hell you're doing.

Just stop.

I know I'm not alone in getting annoyed with your spamming, baiting and faking. So either contribute something decent to the community or don't post, 'cause we don't give a shit.

Thank you and good day.

I was looking up slenderman the other day on barnes and noble and I saw they had a book about him. So i figured I'd wait until Christmas to ask for it (take into mind that I was looking this up around June). So i checked today to see how much it was and to my surprise it didnt show up in the results or anything related to it for that matter.

If anyone can help me find what site the book is available on I'd appreciate it.

These two posts contradict each other. Did you find it on Barnes and Nobel, or did you believe someone else's post about the picture?

Falling apart at the seams, m'boy.
