One thing I have been working out in my head a bit: Tim is seen as sick, at a time when Alex is otherwise fine in #20, but the scene being filmed in Entry #9 with Tim and the girl, Tim seems perfectly fine, but now Alex is on edge. And both seemed to be fine in #17.

So either Tim was fine, then sick and then fine, or was sick at the start, and then was feeling better for the rest of production, and Alex only got worse.

Also to note, as was suggested, that Brian could have very well been operating the camera in #20, and the mention of his absence could just be a joke: in #17 Alex asks where Brian is, and Tim says he thinks he is out getting snacks or something(also suppose to be his house and everyone but him is there).

(Also wonder if Alex didn't later look at the tape from #17 and notice SM in the window and then figure that he should start to always have a camera recording. If so, could actually help point to the order of #17 and #20 before #9, assuming he didn't look at the tape until well after the recording.)
