Well, we know he had a close encounter with something from the way his phone messed up. And due to the fact that he doesn't acknowledge this, I think it's safe to say that the memory wipe theories are correct. He encountered Slenderman and got it on film, but doesn't remember it yet. But he will see it when he goes to edit the tape and we will get treated to another "I don't remember this" intro.

Posted this in the other thread but thought I would post it here. I think this pretty much verifies full memory loss from Slenderman encounters.
