Because Alex didn't put it there. TTA knew it was going to be there because he put it there. Im pretty sure everyone agrees that TTA made the "Version" video to show J that something would be "waiting for him"

He wants us to go to him, so he can eat them, or whatever he does.


Why would he do that? He is a SUPERNATURAL BEING he can take anyone without them knowing?



He might not be supernatural enough to teleport out of alabama or where ever he's from.

Isn't entry 20 itself like a guide? "When you see the hole in the ground, you're almost there."


To answer your questions:

1.) he can just take people from alabama

2.) You mean entry 21? and jay was just DOCUMENTING how he got there and what he got so he doesn't forget (He has a tendency to do that Smile )

 		Evidence to support the "fractured timeline" theory: Check out the name of TTA's last video. The one that ostensibly references this tape.

Evidence to support the "Jay=Slenderman" theory: In the original SM mythology, Slenderman was only a threat to those who were aware of him. I know that this has not been made explicitly cannon in MH, but seeing as how Something Awful is where the videos started and that Jay continues to have interaction with the Something Awful forum members in character (thereby implicitly granting cannon status to at least the most important aspects of the Something Awful mythos), it's safe to say that we can assume that some of the pre-MH mythology is in play. Ergot, Slenderman could very well be trying to spread his... ahem... gospel... through these tapes.

If you watch it frame by frame you can see the white blob that is his head. Also, you can notice slendy-like arms and legs.


I gotta disagree. I think that's just an effect of the distortion -- it doesn't just go up and down, it kinda wavers too, and I think it's a bit of an illusion. It kinda looks like he's moving backwards and forwards if it really is him.

Either way, it's cool.

He leaves behind blood, and remains, as evidenced by this entry.

He needs them to come to him, so he doesn't leave a mess behind for cops and the like to find.

Why Would TTA do that? TTA = Masky, Masky is in with Slenderman, and Slenderman doesn't want to be known about. Is he betraying Slenderman?

I don't think Masky is in with Slendy, Masky is hunting Slendy and using J as bait. He figures J knows too much and he might as well use that.
