Alright here's some speculation on my part.

One: Alex uses the word gone a lot. Which most of you have a theory on what gone specifically means. Here's what I think it means.

Before Jay started looking through the tapes he believed he had nothing to do with the production of Marble Hornets. From what we have seen this is quite false. There's obviously memory discrepancies. Perhaps Alex means gone in a way that signifies that Jay doesn't have his memories of what happened to them as a group and is in fact useless to Alex. That everyone has slowly had their memories erased, and now are "gone".

Two: Jay is not Slendy. Jay is human. Slendy is not.

Three: I agree with the camp that says this takes place in the present. It sounds like Alex and Seth have been on the run for the last three years and still are falling into loads of trouble. After the loss of Seth, Alex has decided to give in and return home to destroy all the evidence. It doesn't seem that he knows what Jay's been up to.

Yeah, from the way Alex was talking, I kind of agree... 'gone' as in their memories are gone. Something about it seemed.... resigned, somehow. like maybe they'd forgotten something important enough that Alex wouldn't be able to just 'catch them up' and that there might be disastrous consequences if they tried. So to him, the friends that he knew are all but dead, because they've lost very important memories they can't get back..

But if Seth and Alex were on the run, what are they doing exploring creepy ass abandoned houses? That doesn't seem to jive with running away. I don't know about time frame... kind of on the fence there. I feel like Alex's talk about everyone being gone seems fairly recent to him, and the 'burning tapes' sounds like what Jay was referencing in his introduction.

It sounds to me like Alex's losses (Jay, Brian, Tim, Sarah, etc, not just Seth) are just settling in with him, and he's realizing that whatever he was trying to do was probably a futile effort. Just my opinion, and we're not going to know for sure until at least the next video (although I expect the actual answer is a few videos away yet.)

I found something a bit disconcerting popped recently into my head.

I always thought TTA was cameraguy and now I think cameraguy is Seth.

So why would Seth secretly tape Jay in Exit...it doesn't really fit together for me.

I had thought that TTA was the operator who drew that symbol and knew more about Slenderman than Alex, but Seth bumbles through the video taping in Entry 12 and Alex is much more the experienced one.

Also Masky being TTA is confusing to me also...why would TTA just stalk Jay the first time, but then attack him head on the second.

It's like TTA is more than one person...

So far we could assume that 'gone' for Jay is him not having any more memories, and that 'gone' for Tim could mean that he is insane and is now Masky

I'm going to have to watch that Entry a few more times tomorrow before I can make any deductions from it. However, this pretty much confirms that for SOME STUPID REASON Alex and Seth decided to track the Slender Man.

Alright, so I was off my computer all day (watched #22 on my brother's laptop, speculated a bit, etc.) and I haven't yet caught up in all the speculation. I know I see these posts all the time and I know we all hate them, but I'm gonna make one. =P

Just some speculation that just hit me, please feel free to Trout at will and then please move on, as I think it may have been mentioned.

The building they are in. I kept thinking, where could they possibly be?? It looks like it was either burned down or flooded or something drastic in the past. I imagined some sort of OTHER tower, but now I'm thinking it was the bath house from Entry #13. All the furnaces, boilers, and water treatment thingies; it fits. PLUS, Slendy was all over that place in Entry #13. Logically, Alex would go back there, and not alone.

EDIT: Nevermind. I just saw it in the Trailhead.

What we need to do is look at all the videos and how they correlate to each other. think back to how alex was taping in the car and SM was stalking him, and now he's taping the fact that everyones "gone". How the videos come together as a whole in the timeline and the story is going to propel us forward.

that said, my theory is that as alex is filming, SM is stalking him.
now 3 years later masky(tim) is helping/hurting J and now J is close to whatever he is finding and something will answer our many questions soon.

Hi everyone. This is my first post here..

I haven't read through this entire thread yet, but I'm sure most of you heard the "s" sound at the end when Alex is saying how everyone is gone right before he says Jay's name.

I'm thinking this isn't a mistake or accident. We've seen "S"s pop up before, in some of totheark's videos. In the corners, wavering.

Ok,am I really the only person to see what REALLY looks like a Slender arm reaching out from behind a pipe? Or at least a shadow of one. Around 4.17, just before the 2nd blood sighting.
And then after that I'm sure we see the SLender man's head behind another pipe. I'll post pics later.

That was by far the scariest entry yet.

I don't think the fingers were Seth's. In fact, i'm positive they weren't as you can clearly see them coming from behind a wall. They were most likely SM's.

In the first shot of the long pipe, there was some sort of man-hole type cover at the end of it. During the distortion, it was gone, and instead there seemed to be a strange figure. So I think SM was in the pipe, and was crawling toward Alex & Seth. Whether or not the pipe leads to the hole in #21 i'm not sure, but it's perhaps likely.

I seriously doubt Jay is SM, even though I've alluded to it previously. It wouldn't explain why he is next to SM in one of TTA's videos. However, I'm expecting some massive plot twist so I don't think we should disregard the theory completely, but let's just put it to one side for now.

This video doesn't really give us any solid answers, but then again none of the entries have. All we know now is that Seth is most likely the unnamed camerman.

Things i'd like to know:
1. Where were they in this entry?
2. At what point in the timeline does this occur? Is it before Alex left or present day?
3. Alex states that everyone is 'gone', Jay isn't gone surely? What does he mean by this?
