 		great progress!!!
hey all - I'm gonna be in devon over christmas period - so unsure how much I'll be able to help you all. Looks like we've got enough though as Vlad has posted loads.
I'll help when I can but this time of year always hectic [as it is for all of us i imagine?!]
anyhow - if i don't get chance - merry christmas/yule/other midwinter feast and have a great time. should be back around 28th or so.

 		Note to self: Check uF more often...

Anyways, I know that I said that I was going to hop into this one, and I still intend to, but real life keeps getting in the way. I've created an ARG FB under the name John George, but I was unable to set my picture to differentiate who I am. Apparently my phone lacks the ability to upload a picture to Facebook's servers. Lame.

Anyway, I'll finish setting that up tonight at home, and will add as many people as I can. It sounds like this is going to get slow until after Christmas, but at least I can be ready for it to pick back up again!

Iunno. But, That's most likely a World of Warcraft reference.

Argus is where the Draenei (space goats) come from.

No...that is me. Limited time so I sort of have to "read" this arg rather than play it but so many references to Facebook material I signed up. Not friended by Vanessa yet, just Vlad.

I am already behind but love the Nabokov stuff so wanted to stay connected. BTW, I have NO idea what the chess stuff is about. Is an actual game being played or just pieces selected?

I think it's because it's close to the holidays. However, I got a really weird email just now that freaked me out for, like, 5 seconds.

Yeah, I completely forgot to send him a question. Anyone have any suggestions?

Also, wtf does that latin mean? I've tried plugging it in to several translators and I'm getting nothing.

The email did freak me out until I realized it was an AOL account. I also noticed it said "dept .18". I was also dubious of the lack of proper capitalization. I used to work for my State government and believe me, not only were all official emails spell checked, I also had my direct extension and a privacy notice at the bottom of every email.

So, what question shall I ask Vlad?

 		Well, a whois lookup for www.dept18.com says that it was registered in 2008, so I'm not sure that it's related to this game. It appears to be a promotional website for two books, "Black Cathedral" and "Night Souls." This fictional Deptarment 18 apparently investigates paranormal and psychic occurances. The name J.P. Weiller also doesn't appear on the site at all, from what I can tell. I'm going to guess that it's not related to our game, but I could be wrong.

In other news, it looks like Vlad's FB is acting on an automated service, which probably means that he's no longer there (at least, for now). Hopefully he hasn't been captured/hurt/whatever he was afraid of before.

Please, if you wish for any aid from my part, check what you're sending out before you send it to me. I find it repulsive when adults - especially those with some sort of 'status' or 'power' (even if it is just a civil protection position.) - can't send out a properly written message.
