So, I have a proposition that I want to run past everyone.

Atroxious and I were talking about UnFiction and MarbleHornets. (and this actually was her idea first, I believe) To cut to the chase: what does everyone think about having our own site? We would have our own Invisionfree (or another type) site, where we have our own space, mods, rules, etc. It'll also be completely our doing, which is an incentive within itself.

The biggest issue we thought of is getting everyone from *here* to *there*. We have a lot invested here, so it would be a lot to relocate everyone and anything information we need.

What does everyone think?

Good luck with that. I mean, people aren't going to be ready and willing to just jump ship and start anew on another forum. UF is already established and running, and a huge amount of traffic comes this way. I doubt many people would just switch over to a new place.

And, it's less of a moving people deal as it is moving information. Move everything in an orderly, organized fashion, split it down in to sections, ect. THEN worry about getting people there.

I don't see many people wanting to rush right in to a blank form and start from scratch.

If you can get it done and it works - then congratulations. But, I don't see it working.

I get the feeling that all that would really accomplish is creating a community that would be just as bad in one way or another, eventually, while splitting up the posters so you'd need to go back and forth between two forums to keep up with everything.
