Indeed. Especially since it's not like we're actually PAYING for this awesome entertainment, which they're taking their own personal time and resources to make.
It would be kind of awesome if these guys got popular enough to make it worthwhile for them to make more horror based web series'...

This also shows just how great a horror monster Slenderman is. Victor Surge really unleashed a beast.
I do hope the MH crew uses this extra cash flow to maybe... throw some more difficult and expensive scares our way? Like making/having made a latex slenderman face that we can get random shots of (clearer shot of than the one we 'may' have gotten in entry 22). Or maybe something else having to do with more slenderman screen-time.

Stolen from a two second google:
"As a member of the Youtube partners program, they typically pay 1/3 cents to 1 cent per view. As you get more consistant viewers, they pay a higher percentage. Some of these posters can make a very significant income off their videos.
For example, a video with 1,000,000 views x .0033 = $3300. This is the minimum you will make if you're a yourtube parter."
So yeah, at roughly 60k views for the earlier videos etc they arent making THAT much. Probably enough to buy a nice crew lunch/dinner when they go over the ideas for the next video.
Edit: ok so for the max viewers they've had on a video (entry #1, 116,576), it comes out to about $384.70. The numbers of unique views have slowly decreased and it seems the trend for the newest videos is 20-25k ($82.50). So yeah, nice little meal for the crew, not INTARNUTZ MEELIONZ or nothing but i'm sure Jay and Alex appreciate the side cash.

Hmm, interesting. I'm sure this can only be a good thing. I doubt they'd stretch it out unnecessarily. If they were smart enough to come up with this then I doubt they'd be dumb enough to let it go on forever.
Personally I had a theory that it would end sometime in the spring; the crew seems young enough to still be in college and this could be their final project for graduation.
I wonder if that could still be the case.

You know, if they weren't featured, they would've probably ended this series already.

I'm glad they're making money, so we can go up to entry #50. I hate it when good shows don't last long.

Maybe the money they get they use to improve on the filming. I mean we can see a difference between entry 1 and entry 22. They are definitely getting better and better.
I think they diserve some money for this, its very enjoyable.

I would too, Gecko. If Marble Hornets is able to do that, it'd be another step towards showing that the internet and other media can be just as successful as shows and series on television.

Ok, I'll stop now.

Maybe they'll sell Slendy plushies and full sized posters of the sketches and stuff.

Well, I made a Slenderman scarf but it's just fleece with his sihlouette, nothing fancy. I can get a picture if people want to see it.
