[quote="Ceantari"]Someone, please, try for that location; it's up Grant Ave, across Colombus St. You can't miss it from Grant - end of the line.

The Chinatown payphone is the left one of the two (when going North at end of Grant). It's across the street of Grant, on the North side of Colombus.

OK, I got my axons confused. I thought the 12:35 was still cold, but it's the 12:29 one that still needs to be answered and it's in Chinatown. Argh! That's way to far for me. I will be at the 18:01 phone today to get that one. I think if it's not too difficult for anyone to get the 12:29 and 10:07 phones, go for it. Otherwise leave them for Saturday. I feel bad saying that, but it's just not feasable for me to get these during the work day.

If I can't convince my roomies or bf, I need another peson for the 16:09 and 16:17; it's always good to have two people.

EDIT:

I'm gonna have to pass... too sore and achy. -_- I know I will be fine tomorrow.

All of the Berkeley Axons have been cleared except for the 12:37 one at 37.869350 -122.272933, but that file's already available, so it's not critical.

I tried to get it today, but there are 2 banks of phones in the vicinity (Cafe Strada), and it's loud enough that you can't hear one bank from the other, definitely a teamwork job.

I did manage to get 7:31, 7:55, 9:27, 12:47, 14:03 and 14:41 today. I had my timing down for the Telegraph and Channing locations, I'd just lean up against a wall, check my watch occasionally, then stroll up to the phone and just then it'd ring. I felt so smooth.

If anyone wants to try for the 12:37 tomorrow, message me. I want to try again, but I want to make sure that there will be some more people there.

Edit: Well, I didn't get them all alone, I had a teammate for the 7:31, 7:55 and 9:27. I was really expecting more people to show up for the other ones.

Damn, I missed the 7:33 location. I got there about a minute late. I am not a morning person so being somewhere on time that early in the morning is a major feat.

Looks like I get to geet up early tomorrow aswell.

Not been feeling well the last couple of days, I'm going to try to make 7:33 tomorrow also. Might see you there Cool

Yeah, I was gonna help out in Berkeley tomorrow before work, but looks like Berkeley is easily taken care of Wink Nice job!!

I went to the San Rafael/Greenbrae axon yesterday for The_Human_Heart, found 2 payphones - one didn't receive incoming calls at all, the other received them but didn't ring. I waited at the one that didn't ring and picked up the receiver every 10 seconds or so before and after the axon time, but didn't get anywhere. However, I found out later that The_Human_Heart went active anyways.

Just in case that area comes up again, heads up that it's not gonna be as easy as we'd hope. Maybe there's a third payphone around there, but I looked pretty carefully.

Quick update:

According to my records, we really only have two more axons to get hot that will active new codebanks. They are:

to_do 07:33 PDT 37.787249 -122.40863
drt 10:07 PDT 37.784899 -122.407931

I'm not too worried about the others as they are in codebanks that have been activated. If someone wants to drive to saulsalito for a 7:51am axon, please be my guest, but if we do that, chances are we will need to do it again in the next round, theoretically.

Gonna try to hit both of these tomorrow. I know where both of these phones are now, and I promise I won't leave my maps behind this time
Great job everyone has been doing so far. This game kicks so much ass.

RD

I'm not sure that I can make it tomorrow; something came up (medical check on my bf)... Someone cover me, please. If I do make it, I get to see you at the locations. If not, "ganbatte" (goodluck)! ^_^

Some of us are planning to try tomorrow so we can keep this axon, just in case.

Yep, I was there almost 30 minutes before the call but some weepy girl had the phone the whole time. None of us wanted to interupt her conversation. We basically just sat around like a countdown to doom cause we knew it would have been a miracle for her to get off the phone in time.

Damn, and I got to my 10:30am class late too. Not a good way to start the day.

Team DC has got yer backs, guys. (Kaziel got the drt axon right after you and unlocked the clip.) At least you know where the phone is. Next time...you need to try the phone company guy ploy being discussed in the Portland thread. Laughing

That's a good idea, or maybe make a realistic looking "OUT OF ORDER" sign on it the day before, so no one uses it at the apointed time.
