So...yeah, don't bring up JPW, or Vlad will suddenly not want to talk to you anymore, heh Smile.

I got the same message as Dawn; it was sent to the kings, queens and knights. The subject line was "KGKn", but he makes reference both in my chat & in the message itself to KQKn, which are the pieces to whom the message was sent...was the subject line a typo, or was the change made on purpose? Perhaps his hands were just cold again.

I'll take a look at the rooks' album and post more in a while...just trying to finish up some wiki-ing as I have documented all but this page of the thread (assuming this message doesn't push it to 31 pages, heh).

 		Sirannon, you don't have a piece on James' board yet...interested in being the other knight? I also posted on Bixy/Beka's FB asking her, as she also isn't a piece on James' board yet, but first come first serve Smile. I think Vlad wants us to fill up the non-pawn pieces.

Heh...maybe this is his way of saying "Happy New Year"...endgame, end of the year, ha ha. And he only sent it to the kings, queens and knights because those are the pieces involved.

 		Ok, I think the wiki is all up-to-date now.

Again, I recommend downloading the image and using your preferred image software to view it at your preferred size, zoom in & out, etc.

Reading the article someone-or-other linked earlier about the Coventry Blitz sparked a whole bunch of those connections (e.g., 111 comes up there, the brooch picture that I think the pawns got was a piece by Sarah Coventry, the Coventry Cathedral was dedicated to St. Michael, to whom Vlad had suggested one of us pray for assistance, etc.).

Crescent, I've allowed you full access to edit the mindmap on the website linked earlier.

I've added to the Puzzles page of the wiki (under "Rooks, part 2") the new image the rooks have received. Remember Sirannon, a rook, was given this prompt by Vlad recently:

This may be a prompt that something about any or all of the pictures the rooks have received are important for decoding something else, such as the picture of the cover of Timon of Athens that Vlad posted much earlier, or the four-lined caption given with the photo of the "defining scientist", or...I dunno.

The newest picture given to the rooks is the original drawing of Alice looking at the "drink me" bottle, but with black and white inverted and her eyes erased. The text the knights received was a quotation from the book about this scene, but with all the Os removed...is this picture prompting us to remove all the Is from something?

The caption on this picture is simple "Sinople". Sinople seem to have various meanings (check Wikipedia/Google/etc.), but two things that stand out is it can be connected to the colour red or it can be a type of cipher. Perhaps it is just more "red queen" business, but perhaps that cipher can be applied to something, such as the four-lined caption given with the photo of the "defining scientist." I dunno. At this point, I am stuck.

Oh, and by the way, Gazopa is not helpful in trying to find the source of that blue picture on Vlad's wall with the "o" shape Sad.

 		Ok, so...none of you should wish Vlad a Happy New 31 556 926 Seconds, because he will then immediately think that you are working for JPW. I tried to backpedal and remind him that a second in chess is like a coach, and we need coaching, but shall we say Vlad is a little pissed with me right now. In part, he said,

Haha, that made me laugh when I read that. Sorry to hear that it didn't work out so well though...

Also, I'm not sure if I was ever given that piece on Jim's board, but if it hasn't been taken yet Telos, could I be your other knight?

Sorry for being completely newbish right now, but how can you tell who is what on each board? Is there like a list or a directory somewhere? Haha

Oh, by the way...I made a table there listing who is who on unfiction compared to Facebook, since not everyone uses the same user pic/etc. between the two sites. If any of you do not want to be listed in that table, feel free to edit out your line, or, if you're wiki-shy, ask someone who knows how to do it to remove you.

I have to get ready for tonight and tomorrow's celebrations now...I won't be around as much for the rest of the day or tomorrow as my side of the family does our Christmas January 1 (to free my brother & I to see our respective in-laws on Dec. 25). Have fun and don't piss Vladimir off Smile.

Regarding Timon, it's entirely possible that he was referring to the play and not the picture, since we were talking about the play at the time. I also think there's definitely something in the fact that the picture is reversed. I'm a bit pressed for time right now, but I'm gonna dig into it as soon as I get back.
